Device Management checks information on blocked mobile devices and explains how to control their status.

Device management interface

From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click i_menu > Services > Security > App Safer > Device Management in order to check the Device Management interface.
The Device Management interface includes the following components:

Component Description
① Menu name Current menu name.
② Basic features Features displayed when entering the App Management menu for the first time.
  • [Learn more]: Go to the App Safer overview page.
③ Tab components Select what you want to display on the Device Management interface.
  • [Blocking details] tab: Check the blocking details of each mobile device.
  • [Statistics] tab: Check the statistics of all the collected block history.
④ Search filter Specify the scope of the blocking history based on the search period, package name, device operating system, app information, etc.
⑤ Post-creation features Features that change the device status when blocking history is available.
  • [Unblock]: Unblock apps on blocked devices.
  • [Exception]: Select blocked devices to exclude from blocked policies.
  • [Remove exception]: Select devices to remove exceptions.
⑥ Blocked content list List of mobile devices blocked from running apps.

Check blocking details

To see the details of the blocked apps:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Security > App Safer.
  2. Click the Device Management menu.
  3. In the search filter at the top of the interface, specify the scope of blocking history and then click [Search].
  4. Check the blocking history at the bottom of the interface, and click on the items to see more details.
    • Blocking time: The time that the app is blocked.
    • UDID: The device identifier generated by App Safer.
      • You can compare it with the User ID value to identify multi-device users.
      • Each device has different values depending on the app.
      • You can check the installation status of the app by comparing it with the package name.
    • OS: The mobile operating system of the device.
    • Package name: The package name of the app registered in App Safer.
    • Country code: The app's country code.
    • Detection type: The items detected among the set blocking policies.
    • Status: The device's current status.
    • Device model: The device model.
    • App version: The version of the app registered in App Safer.
    • Carrier: The carrier currently used on the device. For dual USIMs, only the first active USIM information is provided.
    • App Safer version: The App Safer version.
    • Network type: Network type (Wi-Fi, cellular, etc.)
Note

The country code, carrier, and network type may not be collected depending on the permissions granted to the app.

Change device status

You can change the status of blocked devices. You can make the following changes:

  • Unblock: Unblock blocked devices.
  • Exception: Set exceptions for blocked devices. Devices with exceptions are unblocked and not affected by the blocking policy later.
  • Remove exception: Removes the exception from a device. As a result, it is affected by the blocking policies in the same way as other devices.
Note

Unblocking or handling exceptions will cause statistical data to be deleted.

To change the device status:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Security > App Safer.
  2. Click the Device Management menu.
  3. In the search filter at the top of the interface, specify the scope of blocking history and then click [Search].
  4. From the details at the bottom of the interface, select which device you would like to change the status of.
  5. Choose the one you want from the buttons above the list.
    • The status of your chosen device changes.

View statistics

You can view all of the blocking details from the last 3 months. To view the statistics:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Security > App Safer.
  2. Click the Device Management menu.
  3. At the top of the interface, click the [Statistics] tab.
  4. Check the statistics data shown on the interface.
    • Blocking trend by detection type: Check the blocking status by detection type.

    • Number of active/blocked devices monthly: View the monthly number of active and blocked devices.

    • Blocking rate by detection type: View the blocking rate by detection type.

    • Blocking rate by App Safer Version: View the blocking rate by App Safer version.

    • Overall blocking rate: View the ratio of blocked devices to the total number of devices running the app.

  • Click on the category for each statistic to show or hide it.
