    Article Summary

    Available in Classic and VPC

You must become familiar with a few terms to use App Safer. The glossary and its description are as follows.

    App Safer Key

An authentication key that can be used for the initialization and integration services of the App Safer SDK

    Developer Public Key

Public key used by an Android developer to sign an app. It is saved in the Android Keystore allocated to every Android developer, and is used on App Safer to issue a security key for user and app verification.

    Rooting

Behavior of gaining system permission on Android. With system permission, you can edit or delete security-sensitive files in any app and control hardware performance, and since this can be misused, App Safer scans to determine if rooting has taken place

    Memory Modulation Detection

Behavior of detecting activities that change the memory of the Application Process, such as manipulating variables and bypassing payments to gain unjust benefits. App Safer provides the service of detecting such memory changes in real time.

    Software Development Kit (SDK)

Tool that helps software development. (For example, App Safer provides security SDK(Software Development Kit) that can monitor mobile device routing and malicious or tampered applications, and supports systems to receive API Calls from SDK-mounted devices and go through security check.)

    Speed Hack Detection

Feature that monitors speed hack features, which change a device's system time, are not abused to arbitrarily change an application's operating speed to gain unjust benefit. App Safer supports a real-time monitoring service on the use of speed hacks.

    App Modulation / Modulation Check

Scans whether a tampered app, compared to the original, is running

    App Safer

A NAVER Cloud Platform service that detects security threats in real time when an app is run on a mobile device

    Jail Breaking

Behavior, similar to the rooting of Android, that allows the user to access system files that they are not given access to, install programs in violation of Apple's policies, and change themes on iOS. Just as it responds to rooting, App Safer determines and detects whether jail breaking took place for the system and user protection.
