Rescan

Available in Classic and VPC

This section describes the data processing procedure for rescan data when a rescan is performed on an existing map due to changes in the space or structure.

Rescan partially modified space

Run Convert SLAM data on the newly acquired data.
Run Merge SLAM data for the location containing the newly acquired data.
- For example, if one data point is added to the first floor, the SLAM data for the first floor is merged first, and then the merge is performed for the parent location as well.
- During the merge, all data included in that location is selected (including previously processed data).

Caution

If you rescan using the ARC eye Scan app (mobile), the SLAM data merging process is skipped, and the localization step is executed.
The ARC eye Scan app (mobile) is intended solely for rescan purposes.

Select only the newly acquired data from the localization list and run Localize.
Select only the newly acquired data from the VL list and run VL.
Select all data to be used and run Merge VL data (including all previously processed data).

Note

If you want to replace the previous data (A) with new data (B), process it according to the following procedure.

Run Convert SLAM data on data B.
Run Merge SLAM data on data B.
Run Localize on data B.
Run VL on data B.
Select all data except data A and run Merge VL data.
