    Describes the archive storage screen configuration and describes how to create, manage, upload, and download a file to the container (bucket). File smaller than 2 GB can be downloaded and uploaded to the NAVER Cloud Platform console. If the file for uploading and downloading exceeds 2 GB, see Managing Large-Volume Files.

    Caution

    If the number of object in a single container exceeds 1 million, performance degradation when using API and console may occur. If the number of object in the container is maintained under 1 million, the storage performance delay can be minimized. It is recommended to use the container after additional creation if additional upload is needed.

    Create a container (bucket)

    The following describes how to create a container (bucket).

    1. From NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Storage > Archive Storage menus, in that order.
    2. Click the [Create container (bucket)] button.
    3. Enter the name of the container (bucket) when the pop-up window appears.
      • You can enter 3 to 30 characters.
      • You can't change the name of the bucket once created.
      • The bucket name is utilized as the domain for the objects.
      • The bucket name must be unique within the NAVER Cloud Platform Account.
    4. Click the [Save] button.

    Delete container (bucket)

    The container (bucket) that is not used can be deleted. The files saved in the container (bucket) will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered when deleting the container (bucket) is deleted.
    The following describes how to delete a container (bucket).

    1. From NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Storage > Archive Storage menus, in that order.
    2. Click i_archivestorage-container_more.png of the container (bucket) from the list to delete.
    3. Click Delete container (bucket).
    4. Enter the name of the container (bucket) in the pop-up window and click [OK].

    Cancel container (bucket) deletion

    The following shows how to cancel container (bucket) deletion.

    1. From NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Storage > Archive Storage menus, in that order.
    2. Click i_archivestorage-container_more.png of the container (bucket) from the list that is being deleted.
    3. Click Delete container (bucket).
    4. Enter the name of the container (bucket) in the pop-up window and click [OK].

    Upload files

    The following describes how to upload a file to the created container (bucket).

    1. From NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Storage > Archive Storage menus, in that order.
    2. Select the container (bucket) for the file to be uploaded.
    3. Click [Upload file].
    4. When the upload pop-up window is displayed, drag and drop the file to be added or click the [Add file] button and select a file.
      • Multiple files can be selected for upload.
      • [Select location] button: change the bucket to be saved or change the saving location in the bucket
    5. Click [Start transfer].
      • The file is being uploaded, and click [Stop transfer] to suspend transfer during upload.
    6. Click the [Close] button.
    Note

    When uploading from NAVER Cloud Platform console, maximum of 2 GB can be uploaded and a maximum of 5 GB can be uploaded using API.

    Delete files

    The following describes how to delete an uploaded file from the container (bucket).

    1. From NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Storage > Archive Storage menus, in that order.
    2. Select the container (bucket).
    3. Select the file from the file list that needs to be deleted and click [Delete].

    Download files

    The following describes how to download a file.

    1. From NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Storage > Archive Storage menus, in that order.
    2. When the container management screen is displayed, select the container (bucket) that has the file to be downloaded.
    3. Select the file from the list that needs to be downloaded and click [Download].
