How to run a diagnosis for a mobile app and view results on the NAVER Cloud Platform console is explained.
App Security Checker screen
The following is the basic description of how to use App Security Checker.
Note
If the created diagnosis task is more than 1, you can view the diagnosis list. If there is no created diagnosis, "There is no requested task. Click the Create diagnosis task button to request a task." will appear.

Run diagnosis
The following is how to run a diagnosis on a mobile app.
Note
- You cannot diagnosis for vulnerabilities accurately if there is a security solution applied to the app package. Use an app package that does not have a security solution applied for accurate diagnosis.
- You can re-diagnose up to twice for free within the 60 days from the first diagnosis.
- It distinguishes the same package by the package name.
- If you go over the re-diagnosis count or period, the diagnosis fee may be charged.
- Click the Services > Security > App Security Checker menu on the NAVER Cloud Platform console one by one in order.
- Click the [Create diagnosis task] button.
- Once the Create Diagnosis Task screen appears, upload the app package and enter the information.
- Enter the target information: Upload the app package for diagnosis
- You can drag and drop the app package to the Drag and drop the file here with your mouse or click here field or click the Drag and drop the file here with your mouse or click here field to select an app package.
- You can click to delete an uploaded app package.
- Notification Settings: Click the [Set Notification Recipients] button to receive a notification recipients upon completing examinations.
- Select the notification recipient and method and then click the [Add] button to add the recipient.
- Click the [Delete] button to delete an added recipient.
- In order to add a new point person as a notification recipient, click the [Manage Notification Recipients] button and register the recipient’s information on the page.
- For the detailed information about notification recipient management, please refer to Monitoring (Classic) or Cloud Insight (VPC).
- If you have completed setting recipients, click the [Save settings] button.
- Select the notification recipient and method and then click the [Add] button to add the recipient.
- Memo: Enter the information about the diagnosis
- Enter the target information: Upload the app package for diagnosis
- Check the entered information and click the [Save the Setting] button.
- Check the content on the pop-up window, Click the [OK] button to start the diagnosis.
- In case of a first time diagnosis, it shows the price information.
- In case of a re-diagnosis, it shows the remaining re-diagnosis count.
- The diagnosis duration varies by the app size and complexity.
- Check the content on the pop-up window, Click the [OK] button to start the diagnosis.
- View the additional task status and task status in the diagnosis list.
- Waiting for diagnosis: The first status after creating a diagnosis task. You can cancel the diagnosis.
- If many diagnoses are in the queue, this status may continue.
- Diagnosing: The diagnosis is in progress. You cannot cancel the diagnosis.
- Diagnosis complete: The diagnosis is successfully done.
- Diagnosis failed: The examination failed.
- Diagnosis canceled: A task on Waiting for diagnosis was canceled.
- For further information about canceling diagnoses, see Cancel diagnosis.
- Waiting for diagnosis: The first status after creating a diagnosis task. You can cancel the diagnosis.
Check diagnostic reports
The following describes how to check the report that includes diagnostic results.
- Click the Services > Security > App Security Checker menu on the NAVER Cloud Platform console one by one in order.
- Click the [Report] button of the diagnosis task you wish to view.
- Check the content of the diagnostic report.
- You can download the report as a PDF file. Click the [Download PDF] button in the top right corner.
Cancel diagnosis
The [Cancel] button is activated for the tasks on Waiting for diagnosis. You can cancel the diagnosis. The following is how to cancel them.
- Click the Services > Security > App Security Checker menu on the NAVER Cloud Platform console one by one in order.
- Click the [Cancel] button of the diagnosis task result line.
- Once the Cancel diagnosis window pops up, click [Yes].
- The task is changed to Diagnosis canceled status.
