Note Before the creation of resource, check any [preliminary task](/docs/en/backup-advance) to do. To create a resource: 1. In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to **Menu** > **All Services** > **Storage** > **Backup**. 2. Navigate to **Backup > Resource**. 3. Click **[Create resource]**. 4. When the resource creation page comes up, set up the resource information, then click **[Next]**. Note The server ID and password are only used for the agent installation, and they are not saved for other purposes. - **Resource name**: Enter the unique name that works as the standard for the resource management. - The name should start with a letter and be between 3-30 characters, consisting of lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens (-). - **Zone**: Select the zone where the server for the backup is created. - **Server**: Select the server for the backup. - Those available for the resource creation among servers created in the selected **zone** are placed in the drop down menu. - You can find the desired server by entering the server name when there are plenty of created servers. - **Host name**: If you select Windows server, enter the host name. - Enter the real host name. If the name is not identical to the real host name, the backup agent fails to be installed. To check the host name, enter `hostname` on the cmd window. - If you do not enter the host name, the host name is automatically set as same as the server name. - **Agent type**: Select the type of the backup agent you want to install. - You can select several types of agent at the same time, and the selected agents are installed when the resource is created. - **Data**: Perform a backup for the data area except for the OS area. - The installation of the Data agent is mandatory for Windows servers. - **DB**: Perform a backup for the DB area installed at the server. - When you select **DB**, select the DB agent you want to install. - When you select Linux server from the **server**, you cannot install MSSQL agent. - **ID**: Enter the server ID to install the agent. - Enter less than 256 characters by using letters, numbers, and hyphens (-). - Install the agent by using the root account on Linux server and the Administrator account on Windows server. When you cannot use root/Administrator accounts, see [Set up server ID](/docs/en/backup-advance#%EC%84%9C%EB%B2%84%EC%95%84%EC%9D%B4%EB%94%94%EC%84%A4%EC%A0%95). - When you install the agent on MSSQL server, enter the account ID with the sysadmin authority that belongs to the administrator group. Use the Windows authentication mode to access MSSQL servers. Note Navigate to **Security > Logins > Properties > Server Roles** on SQL Server Management Studio to check whether the account you will use has the sysadmin authority. When the **sysadmin** check box is unchecked, click the check box, then click **[OK]**. - When you install the agent on MySQL servers, enter the ID according to the server OS as follows: - Linux: Enter the account ID with the OS Admin authority or the root authority. - Windows: Enter the account ID with the OS Admin authority or the SA authority. - When you install the agent on PostgreSQL server, enter the postgres account ID with the admin authority. - **Password**: Enter the server password to install the agent. - Enter the password for the ID you entered. 5. Click **[Create resource]** after viewing the information you setup. - The resource status displays **Creating** on the list, and after the creation the status changes to **Created**. - When the resource creation is completed, check whether the agent installation has completed. When the installation is failed, [reinstall agent](/docs/en/backup-agent#%EC%97%90%EC%9D%B4%EC%A0%84%ED%8A%B8%EC%9E%AC%EC%84%A4%EC%B9%98). - When you install DB agent, [add DB instances](/docs/en/backup-db#DB%EC%9D%B8%EC%8A%A4%ED%84%B4%EC%8A%A4%EC%B6%94%EA%B0%80). ## Check detailed resource information To view the detailed resource information from the resource list: Note Only when there are more than 1 resource created, the list of resources appears. 1. In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to **Menu** > **All Services** > **Storage** > **Backup**. 2. Navigate to **Backup > Resource**. 3.
