Cloud Activity Tracer troubleshooting

Available in Classic and VPC

You might run into the following problems when using Cloud Activity Tracer. Find out causes and possible solutions.

Viewing only specific task history

Cloud Activity Tracer does not provide a way to view specific tasks only. The task history filter displays only "All."
I want to view only the login activity history in Cloud Activity Tracer.

Cause

You can view task history by entering a search keyword.

Solution

The solution is as follows: The explanation is based on the method of viewing only login activity history:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Activity Tracer > Activities.
  2. Click All in the task history search area.
  3. Enter "Login" in the task history field.
    • A list of task history items matching the entered keyword appears.
  4. Select Login under Account > Customer.

Downloading task history

I want to download all task history.
I also want to download the searched data.

Cause

Downloading task history or searched data is not supported.

Solution

As explained within the Cause section, extracting logs or downloading search results is not supported. However, by using the Tracer feature of Cloud Activity Tracer, you can store resource task history that meets specific conditions in Object Storage and download it. For more information, see Tracers.

Missing task history for the day

I used Tracer to export task history to Object Storage, but the task history for today was not included.

Cause

Based on Korea Standard Time, the previous day's activity logs are extracted every day at 1 AM. Task history performed today can only be checked starting from the next day.

Solution

As explained in the Cause section, this is normal behavior and not an error. Task history can only be extracted up to the previous day.
