Before the subscription period expires, the same order can be continuously maintained through the extension feature. Note - Subscription periods are available only for Enterprise Certificate. - When using ACME, a single order can be operated over a long period through subscription extension. ## Select a subscription period You first select a subscription period when requesting [Advanced DV/OV certificate issuance](/docs/en/certificatemanager-issuecertificate/#advanced%EC%9D%B8%EC%A6%9D%EC%84%9C). | Subscription period | Description | | --- | --- | | 1 year | Subscription valid for 1 year from the issuance date | | 2 years | Subscription valid for 2 years from the issuance date | | 3 years | Subscription valid for 3 years from the issuance date | Note - A subscription period must be selected when requesting issuance in the Certificate Manager console. - If the subscription period is omitted when applying via Open API, a default of 1 year is applied. ## Extend a subscription 1. In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to **Menu** > **All Services** > **Security** > **Certificate Manager** > **Enterprise Certificate** > **Order List**. 2. Select an order. 3. After selecting the order, click **[Extend subscription]**. When the subscription extension page appears, proceed with the following steps: 4. **Select period**: Select an extension of 1, 2, or 3 years. 5. **Confirm**: Click to extend the subscription by the selected period. However, the extension may succeed or fail depending on the extension conditions. Caution A valid subscription extension is **billed immediately** upon request. Review the [Extension conditions](/docs/en/certificatemanager-advanced-subscription#%EC%97%B0%EC%9E%A5%EC%A1%B0%EA%B1%B4) and [Billing information](/docs/en/certificatemanager-advanced-subscription#%EA%B3%BC%EA%B8%88%EC%95%88%EB%82%B4) carefully. ### Extension conditions The extendable period is determined based on the difference between the current **year** and the subscription end **year**. The day is not considered. | Subscription end year − Current year | Status | Extendable period | | --- | --- | --- | | 0 years (same as current year) | Extendable | Up to 3 years | | 1 year | Extendable | Up to 2 years | | 2 years | Extendable | Up to 1 year | | 3 years or more | Not extendable | - | Example (as of March 12, 2026) | Current subscription end date | Year difference | Extendable period | | --- | --- | --- | | December 31, 2026 | 0 years | 1, 2, or 3 years | | June 30, 2027 | 1 year | 1 or 2 years | | January 1, 2028 | 2 years | 1 year | | January 1, 2029 | 3 years | Not extendable | Note - The new subscription end date is calculated by adding N years to the existing subscription end date. (Not recalculated based on the current date) - There must be no ongoing extension within the same order. ## Billing information The subscription period is reflected in billing calculations. | Type | Billing unit | | --- | --- | | New issuance | Number of domains × Subscription period (years) | | Renewal (only when adding domains) | Number of additional domains × Remaining subscription period (years, at least 1 year) (Note) Renewal with the same domain name does not incur charges. | | Subscription extension | Number of domains × Extension period (years) | Example 1: New issuance (2-year subscription, 2 single domains, and 3 wildcard domains) | Domain type | Number of domains | Subscription period | Billable quantity | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Single | 2 | 2 years | 4 | | Wildcard | 3 | 2 years | 6 | Example 2: Renewal (domains added; subscription end year: 2029; current year: 2026 → 3 years remaining) | Domain type | Number of additional domains | Remaining period | Billable quantity | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Single | 1 | 3 years | 3 | | Wildcard | 1 | 3 years | 3 | Note Renewals with the same domain name (CASE 1) do not incur charges.
