Find out causes and possible solutions. ## Domain name error A domain name error occurs when you request a certificate. #### Cause Domain names can contain only English letters, numbers, and hyphens (-). #### Solution - Enter characters that conform to the domain name rules. Remove any characters other than English letters, numbers, or hyphens. - Check if the input is in the correct domain format. ## Certificate not issued The certificate is not issued. #### Cause If you choose DNS validation for the domain validation method and do not enter the validation result in the domain's records, the certificate may not be issued. #### Solution Check the domain's DNS validation value and enter it in the domain's DNS management system. For more information, see [DNS validation](/docs/en/certificatemanager-domainvalid-dns). ## Error applying a certificate to a server The certificate cannot be applied to the server. #### Cause and solution **Cloud Basic certificate** Cloud Basic certificates can only be used with Load Balancer and Global Edge on NAVER Cloud Platform. **Enterprise Certificate** You can download an Enterprise Certificate and apply it to your server. - Select a certificate under **Enterprise Certificate** > **Order List** and click **[Download]**. - Use the private key password you entered when downloading the certificate to decrypt the private key file or apply the certificate to a web application. - Some web applications may not be able to use the encrypted private key file. In such cases, decrypt the private key first and then use it. - Example: `openssl rsa -in private_enc.key -out private.key` - For detailed instructions, see the certificate installation instructions for your web application.
