This guide describes how to get started with Cloud Log Analytics once you've identified environmental requirements and specifications and familiarized yourself with quickstart.

This guide covers the following topics:

If you've made it this far, you've mastered the basics of using Cloud Log Analytics. For more effective Cloud Log Analytics management and operations in the future, you can also perform the following task:

  • Manage operation permissions using Sub Account on NAVER Cloud Platform

This task can be performed after subscribing to Sub Account, not Cloud Log Analytics, and is not covered in detail in this guide. Learn more in the Sub Account user guide.

Subscribe to Cloud Log Analytics

To subscribe to Cloud Log Analytics:

  1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. In the top-right corner, click Region & Platform.
  3. Select your region and platform, then click [Apply].
  4. In the top-left corner, click Menu.
  5. Navigate to All Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Log Analytics.
  6. Click [Subscribe].
  7. Select a pricing plan in the subscription popup.
  8. Read the instructions for changing your pricing plan, click the appropriate checkbox, and click [Subscribe].
Note

You can subscribe to Cloud Log Analytics for each Region. If you do, and a separate contract is created for each Region.

Change your pricing plan

You can change the pricing plan for the Cloud Log Analytics service you are subscribed to.

  • If you have already changed your pricing plan this month, you must wait until the first of the next month to change plans again.
  • Upon applying for a pricing plan change, the existing contract is terminated and a new contract is created for the changed plan.
  • If you change from a Premium plan to a Standard plan, any existing data that exceeds your new storage capacity is deleted.

To change your pricing plan:

  1. In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to All Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Log Analytics.
  2. Click the Subscription menu.
  3. Click [Change pricing plan].
  4. In the Request pricing plan change popup, select the plan you want to use.
  5. Read the instructions for changing your plan, click the appropriate checkbox, and click [Request pricing plan change].
  6. When the Pricing plan changed popup appears, click [OK].

Unsubscribe from Cloud Log Analytics

You can unsubscribe from the Cloud Log Analytics service from the NAVER Cloud Platform console.

  • If you are using an integration service, you must first unsubscribe from the integration service and log integration to unsubscribe from Cloud Log Analytics.
  • All stored data is deleted upon unsubscribe from Cloud Log Analytics.
  • Failing to delete the log collection agent from a server causes unnecessary internal traffic even after unsubscription.

To unsubscribe from Cloud Log Analytics:

  1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. In the top-right corner, click Region & Platform.
  3. Select your region and platform, then click [Apply].
  4. In the top-left corner, click Menu.
  5. Navigate to All Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Log Analytics.
  6. Click the Subscription menu.
  7. Click [Subscription settings].
  8. Click Unsubscribe.
  9. When the Unsubscribe popup appears, click [OK].

Collect logs in Cloud Log Analytics

To set up log collection for your server in Cloud Log Analytics:

  1. In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to All Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Log Analytics.
  2. Click the Management menu.
  3. Select the server you want to collect logs from and click [Collection settings].
  4. When the Log collection settings popup appears, select the log template you want to collect from the Log Template drop-down menu and click [Apply].
  5. When the guide popup for installing the agent on the server appears, check the log collection agent installation command, then click [Close].
    • Click [Copy to clipboard] to copy the log collection agent installation command to the clipboard.
  6. After connecting to the server, run the log collection agent installation command that you checked in step 5.
