Available in VPC
You can check resources created by the NAVER Cloud Platform and view check results and recommended actions in the Dashboard menu. You can also configure certain resources to be excluded from checks and download the check result reports.
Dashboard interface
The basic layout of the Dashboard when using Cloud Advisor is as follows:

Checking All Items
To run a check for all items, follow the steps below.
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Advisor menu in order. - Click the Dashboard menu.
- Click the [Request Check] button to the right of Recommended Actions.
- While the check is running, the [Request Check] button is disabled, and you cannot use the feature until the check is complete.
- Place the mouse cursor over a disabled [Request Check] button on an item to view the time remaining before the next check.

Individual Item Checks
To run a check for individual items, follow the steps below.

- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Advisor menu in order. - Click the Dashboard menu.
- Click the [Request Check] button for the items you wish to check.
- While the check is running, the [Request Check] button is disabled, and you cannot use the feature for a certain amount of time.
- Place the mouse cursor over a disabled [Request Check] button on an item to view the time remaining before you can request another check.

Checklist
The checklist categories provided in Cloud Advisor are as follows:
- Security: Checks for security vulnerabilities.
- Cost & Availability: Checks for unnecessary cost or performance overheads.
We plan to expand check result reports and recommended action services beyond the Security and Cost & Availability categories, to include Performance, Service Limits, and more.
Security
The checklist items for the Security category are as follows:

| DNS_SPF | Global DNS Record SPF MX Check | Checks if there is an SPF or TXT record responding to the MX record when an MX record exists in the Global DNS service. |

Cost and Availability
The checklist items for the Cost & Availability category are as follows:

View a Check Result Summary of All Items
To view the check results for items by category, follow the steps below.
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Advisor menu in order. - Click the Dashboard menu.
- Check the check results for all resources in the Results Summary area.
(Normal): Complies with recommended settings
(Warning): Requires action
(Danger): Requires immediate action
View Check Result Summaries for Individual Items
To view check results summary by item, follow the steps below.
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Advisor menu in order. - Click the Dashboard menu.
- View check results summaries by item in the Recommended Actions list.
- Item Name: Name of the item being checked
- Check Result Status: Shows check results as notification icons
(Normal): Complies with recommended settings
(Warning): Requires action
(Danger): Requires immediate action
- Request Check: Shows when a check was last performed
- Check Result Summary: A summary of the check results for a given item
- [Download]: Downloads the check results for an item as an Excel file.
- [Request Check]: Runs a check for a given item. (See Individual Item Checks)
- [Expand Details]/[Collapse Details]: Show/hide the details of an item (SeeView Check Result Details for Individual Items)
View Check Result Details for Individual Items
To view the details of the check results per individual resources, follow the steps below.
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Advisor menu in order. - Click the Dashboard menu.
- View details by clicking [Expand Details] for the resource in the Recommended Actions list.
- Description: Descriptions and recommended settings for a given item
- Recommended Actions: How to apply recommended settings
- Notification Criteria: When to display check result status
- Check Time: When the check was most recently run
- Check Result Summary: Summarized check results
- Related Information: Information such as user guides and console menus related to the check item
- Check Result Details: Information on the checked resource. Only shows up in some check items.
- Display Options: Select resources to display in the list
- Included Items: Shows resources included in the check results (Default).
- Excluded Items: Shows resources excluded from the check results.

Check Exclusion Settings
After running the check, a comprehensive list of resources included in the checked items is provided for certain items. You can exclude certain resources from checks by selecting them from the list.
To exclude certain resources from checks, follow the steps below.
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Advisor menu in order. - Click the Dashboard menu.
- Click the [Expand Details] button for the check item.
- Select the Included Item from the Display Options dropdown menu in the Check Result Details field.
- Select the resources to be excluded from checks and click [Exclude Selected Items].
- The selected resources will disappear from the list. You can see them by selecting Excluded Items in the Display Options dropdown menu.
Check Inclusion Settings
To re-include resources excluded from checks, follow the steps below.
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Advisor menu in order. - Click the Dashboard menu.
- Click the [Expand Details] button for the check item.
- Click Excluded Items from the Display Options dropdown menu in the Check Result Details area.
- Select the resources to be included in the check, and click the [Include Selected Items] button.
- The resources will disappear from the list. You can see them by clicking Included Items in the Display Options dropdown menu.
Download Check Result Reports
You can download check result reports with detailed check result and checked item information. To download check result reports, follow the steps below.
Sensitive information such as login ID and user name will be partially redacted in check result reports. Check the console for full report details. (See View Check Results for Individual Items)
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Advisor menu in order. - Click the Dashboard menu.
- Click the [Download] button.
- To download the check result reports for all checked items: Click [Download]

- To download check result reports for a specific check item: Click the [Download] button for each item
