Available in Classic

You can view the history of events that have occurred on the Cloud DB for MySQL Server in Event. The events that occur in MySQL are saved automatically in the history and stored permanently without requiring additional settings by the user. If you create events by setting notification items and thresholds for each MySQL Server, then you can emails and SMS notifications when the events occur.

Event page

The basic descriptions for using Event in Classic are as follows:

View events

To check the events that occurred on the MySQL Server in Classic, follow these steps:

  1. In the Classic environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Database > Cloud DB for MySQL.
  2. Click Event.
  3. Click the Event History tab, and check the necessary information when the event list appears.
    • DB Server name: name of the MySQL Server where the event occurred
    • Event occurrence time: time when the event occurred
    • Event type: type of the event that occurred
    • Event name: name of the event that occurred
      • DB: event occurred in DB
      • Backup: backup start and end events
      • StorageSize: change Storage size
      • Failover: event occurred during Failover
      • Set event: register an event to receive notifications
      • Send event: send notifications
      • Delete event: clear a registered event
      • Pause notifications: suspend event notifications
      • Resume notifications: the temporarily paused event notifications have been resumed.
    • Content: description of the event that occurred
    • Access IP: access IP address of the admin account where the event occurred
  4. If the event type is DB Server, click it to see the details.

    • DB service name: service name of the MySQL Server
    • DB status: status of the MySQL Server in operation
    • DB Role: role of the MySQL Server in operation
    • Created date: date to create MySQL Server in operation
    • DB engine version: DB engine version

Set event

You can set events so that users can be notified when a specified situation occurs in the MySQL Server.

Set event

You can specify event rules and set notifications for each MySQL Server in NAVER Cloud Platform console.

To set events on the MySQL Server in Classic, follow these steps:

  1. In the Classic environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Database > Cloud DB for MySQL.

  2. Click Event.

  3. Click the Event settings status tab, and then click the MySQL Server you want to set events for.

  4. Click [Set events] > [Set event items], in order.

  5. Select an item by referring to the following table, enter the threshold that will cause notifications, and then click [Add].

    • You can edit or delete the added event by clicking [Edit] or [Delete].
Note

The Duration means that the same notification will not be sent for that time.

  • For example, if the Duration is set to 10 minutes, no notifications for the same item will be sent for 10 minutes after the first notification is sent.
  1. Click the [Next] button.
  2. Select the recipient upon notifications and notification method, and then click [Add].

    • You can edit or delete the added event by clicking [Edit] or [Delete].
  3. Click [Next], check the settings, and then click [OK].

Manage events

You can check the content and notification recipients of the set events, suspend or restart notifications, or remove events.

Remove event

To remove set events, follow these steps:

  1. In the Classic environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Database > Cloud DB for MySQL.
  2. Click Event.
  3. Click Event settings status, and then click the MySQL Server you want to remove events from.
  4. Remove events as shown below.
    • Delete individual event: from the event list displayed under the row of the selected MySQL Server, find the event you want to delete, click [Delete], and then click [Yes] from the confirmation popup window.
    • Delete all events from the server: click [Remove events], and then click [Yes] from the confirmation popup window.

Manage notifications

You can check the notification recipients for the occurrence of event notifications, and suspend or restart notifications. If you pause notifications, events are recorded in the event history when they occur, but notifications are not sent to mail and SMS. After the pause period, settings will automatically revert to the original state. You can also resume notifications before the pause period has expired.

To manage notifications, follow these steps:

  1. In the Classic environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Database > Cloud DB for MySQL.
  2. Click Event.
  3. Click the Event settings status tab, and then click the MySQL Server you want to check event notifications for.
  4. Manage event notifications settings as follows:
    • Manage notification recipients: click [View] on the selected MySQL Server row, and manage notification recipients from the setting popup window
    • Suspend notifications: click [Suspend notifications], enter the period and the registrant, and then click [Set].
    • Restart notifications: click [Restart notifications], and then click [Yes] from the confirmation popup window.
