Action

Available in VPC

You can create packages and actions of various types and purposes among resources provided by the Cloud Functions of Action. You can also run the created actions and monitor the result with graphs and tables.
This document guides you through how to use the Action page and see package and action information, as well as how to run actions and monitor each action's result. See the following guides for how to create, modify, delete, or run packages and actions in Action.

The basics of using Action are as follows:

View package/action list

You can find information for each package and action in the list of packages and actions created. The following describes how to view the information.

1. From NAVER Cloud Platform console's Region menu, click and select the Region you're using.
2. From the Platform menu, click and select VPC.
3. Click the Services > Compute > Cloud Functions menus, in that order.
4. Click the Action menu.
5. Check the list of packages and actions created in Packages/Actions.
   • Folder icon: package
   • Arrow icon: sequence type action
   • Other icons: basic type actions by language
6. Click the package or action whose information you want to view.
7. See the information needed in Manage package for a package, and click the Basic information tab menu for an action.
   • For packages
     
     • Package basic information: see the package's basic information
       • Name: package's name
       • Description: additional information on the package
       • Default parameter: parameter to be applied to all the actions in the package
     • List of actions included: view the list of actions in the package that have the same default parameter applied
       • Action name: action's name
       • Type: action's type and runtime information
       • Action description: additional information on the action
       • [Move] button: click to be directed to the action's basic information page
   • For actions
     
     • Action basic information: see the action's basic information
       • Name: action's name
       • Description: additional information on the action
       • Runtime: action's runtime information
       • Type: types of actions (general/web/sequence/sequence web)
       • Main function: name of the main function or class being used by the action
       • Action memory: memory available in the action
       • Action timeout: maximum time limit for which the action can be run
     • VPC connection information: view information of the VPC and subnets that allow basic type actions to access VPC resources
       • VPC: accessible VPC information
       • Subnet: information of the subnet to use when accessing the VPC (subnet name | the subnet's IP address range | available zone)
     • Action run order: view information of the actions run in sequence in a sequence action
       • Run order: order of actions run in a sequence action
       • Action name: action's name
       • Action type: action's type and runtime information
       • Action description: additional information on the action
     • External connection address: view information of the URL that allows the action to be called remotely
       • URL: information for the created external connection URL
       • Deployment stage: information on the deployed stage
       • Call method: request format supported for the action type (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, and so on)
       • [Copy] button: click to copy the URL and use it
     • List of connected triggers: view the list of triggers connected to the action
       • [Connect trigger] button: click to add a trigger to connect. For more information on how to use, see Trigger
       • [Disconnect] button: click to remove the connection of the selected trigger. For more information on how to use, see Trigger
       • Trigger name: name of the connected trigger
       • Type: connected trigger's type
       • Run options: additional settings related to running the trigger
       • Connected action: name of the action connected to the trigger
       • [Move] button: click to be directed to the trigger's basic information page

Action monitoring

The following describes how to monitor results of actions run during a viewing period and their details.

1. From NAVER Cloud Platform console's Region menu, click and select the Region you're using.
2. From the Platform menu, click and select VPC.
3. Click the Services > Compute > Cloud Functions menus, in that order.
4. Click the Action menu.
5. Click the action to monitor in Packages/Actions.
6. Click the Monitoring tab menu.
7. Click and select the period and base time you want to view.
   • [Refresh] button: click to update and see the latest search result
8. Check the search results.
   • Graph
     • Execution result: number of actions succeeded and failed during the viewing period by hour
     • Status: ratio of succeeded and failed actions during the viewing period
     • Runtime: average runtime (ms) and maximum runtime (ms) during the viewing period by hour
   • Table
     • ID: unique ID for the action result
     • Status: whether the action succeeded or failed
     • Start time: time when the action started (ms)
     • Runtime: time taken to run the action (ms)
     • View more: click the [View] button to see details of the execution result
