Available in Classic and VPC

There are several terms you must understand to effectively use Cloud Insight. The glossary and its description are as follows:

Classic Environment

A platform that does not offer an exclusive private network, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), on public cloud

Basic Metric

The basic performance/operational metrics provided by each service of NAVER Cloud Platform, which are a type of system metric

Extended Metric

Additional service-specific performance/operational metrics that enable more detailed monitoring than basic metrics, also a type of system metric

Target Group

A group of targets for processing requests

VPC Environment

A platform in the public cloud that provides a customer-dedicated private network, such as Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).

Dashboard

A user interface (UI) that helps centrally manage and locate various information on a single screen

Rule

A service of NAVER Cloud Platform where actions are executed based on events through triggers and rules, with triggers delivering events that occur internally or externally

Metric

Performance/operational metrics collected by NAVER Cloud Platform's Cloud Insight, categorized into System Metrics and Custom Metrics

Sub Account

A service of NAVER Cloud Platform that allows the creation of sub-accounts under a primary account to manage permissions based on job roles

Schema

The structure of collected data, consisting of metrics and dimensions

System Metric

Performance metrics provided by each NAVER Cloud Platform service, accessible on Cloud Insight

Action

Tasks performed when an Event occurs, such as sending SMS/email notifications, transmitting events to a channel, executing a trigger, or applying auto scaling policies, depending on the action settings in the event rule

Auto Scaling Group

A group of multiple server instances used for auto scaling

Custom Metric

Performance metrics not provided by NAVER Cloud Platform, collected using Cloud Insight's API

Cloud Insight

A service of NAVER Cloud Platform that provides monitoring functions for integrated management of performance/operational metrics in cloud environments and rapid notification to responsible personnel in case of failures

Trigger

A service of NAVER Cloud Platform where actions are executed based on events through triggers and rules, with triggers delivering events that occur internally or externally
