    There are a few terms you need to know to use Cloud Insight. The terms and their descriptions are as follows.

    Classic environment

    A platform that does not provide VPC (Virtual Private Cloud), a customer-only private network, on public cloud

    Target Group

    A set of targets to handle requests

    VPC environment

    A platform that provides VPC (Virtual Private Cloud), a customer-only private network, on public cloud

    Dashboard

    User interface that helps manage and find various information in a centralized way on one screen

    Rule

    A NAVER Cloud Platform service in which actions can be executed based on events through triggers and rules, and triggers play the role of delivering events that have occurred internally or externally

    Metric

    The performance indicator collected by NAVER Cloud Platform's Cloud Insight. Classified into system metrics and custom metrics.

    Sub Account

    A NAVER Cloud Platform service that creates sub accounts under a main account to enable permission management by job role

    System metric

    Performance indicators provided by each NAVER Cloud Platform service. Can be viewed through Cloud Insight.

    Action

    It's a task to be carried out when an event occurs. When you create an event rule, the following actions can be triggered depending on the action settings: send SMS/email notification, send the event to a channel, run a trigger, and run an Auto Scaling policy.

    Auto Scaling Group

    Numerous server instance groups for using the Auto Scaling

    Custom metric

    Performance indicators collected through the utilization of Cloud Insight's API, since they are not provided by NAVER Cloud Platform

    Cloud Insight

    A NAVER Cloud Platform service that provides a monitoring feature which manages the performance and operation indicators of the cloud environment in integration, as well as promptly alerting the person in charge when failure occurs

    Trigger

    A NAVER Cloud Platform service that enables execution of actions based on events through triggers and rules and performs the role of delivering events that have occurred internally or externally
