Create an Event Rule
- When creating an Event Rule, you can specify a pre-created monitoring target group (Target Group) and monitoring item group (Rule Template) to configure multiple Rules within a single Event Rule. For more information on creating Target Groups and Rule Templates, see Template.

To set an Event Rule, following these steps:
-
In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (Monitoring) in order. -
Click Configuration > Event Rule, in order.
-
Click [Create Event Rules].
-
After selecting the service to monitor, click the [Next] button.

- For more information on creating a target group, see Create target group.
-
Select a Group, Auto Scaling Group, or All Owned Resources, then choose the specific targets to monitor from the displayed options.
-
If you select Server (VPC) as the service to monitor, you can choose an Auto Scaling Group to set it as the monitoring target.
NoteSelecting an Auto Scaling Group dynamically includes servers that are scaled up or down based on the policies set by the Auto Scaling Group, but the synchronization of the group might vary slightly depending on the data collection time.
-
-
Click the [Manage groups] button displayed for each target in the Target Group list to open a popup for editing the respective Target Group.
2. Set monitoring items and conditions
After selecting the item to monitor, click the [Next] button.

- In the [Cloud Functions] tab, selecting a trigger allows you to execute the connected trigger when an event occurs.
- When Re-trigger when event ends is set to ON, the selected trigger is executed additionally when the event ends.
- At least one action must be linked to a trigger during its creation for the trigger to be created.
- In the [Auto Scaling policy] tab, you can select an Auto Scaling policy to execute when an event occurs.
- The Event is delivered to the Auto Scaling Group upon occurrence, and the policy is executed repeatedly according to the cooldown time set in the policy until the event ends.
- For Auto Scaling policies, policy execution stops when the Event ends.
- To specify an Auto Scaling policy as an action, select an Auto Scaling Group by clicking on it and then select the desired policy.
- Additional notification settings can be configured in each tab.
- Set a Remind alert cycle to send repeated notifications until the event ends. If left blank, reminder alerts will not be configured.
