OCR

A NAVER Cloud Platform service that provides optical character recognition (OCR) technology to locate text in images (photos) and automatically recognize the text.

Domain

The basic unit for CLOVA OCR features. All features, including template creation, channel integration, and analytics, operate and are managed by domain.

Recognition model

CLOVA OCR recognition models are categorized by the range of recognition features they provide: the basic model provides basic recognition features, while the premium model provides more diverse recognition features, including handwriting recognition.

Template

A model in Template OCR that allows users to specify areas to recognize in an uploaded sample image and extract results in key-value format.

Template builder

A web console for creating and testing templates to extract text from images and documents in Template OCR.

Specialized model

A recognition model in Document OCR configured to extract results in a predefined key-value format. Specialized models are available for business registration certificates, credit cards, receipts, ID cards, and business cards.
