CLOVA OCR glossary

There are a few terms you need to know to use CLOVA OCR. The terms and their descriptions are as follows.
OCR
A NAVER Cloud Platform service that provides the optical character recognition technology, which locates the characters in images (photos) and automatically recognizes what they are
Domain
A unit that becomes the basis of features provided in CLOVA OCR. The basis for operation and management of all features, such as template creation, channel linkage, and statistical information.
Recognition model
Types of recognition technology services provided by CLOVA OCR. Divided into the Basic model, which provides basic recognition features, and Premium model, which provides enhanced recognition features including handwriting recognition.
Template
A model that enables the extraction of results in a key-value format with the user directly specifying the area to be analyzed from the image sample uploaded from Template OCR.
Template builder
A web console that allows the user to create and test templates for extracting text from images and documents in Template OCR.
Specialized model
A recognition model set to enable extraction of results in a specified key-value format in Document OCR, such as business registration cards, credit cards, receipts, IDs, and business cards.
