Short sentence recognition builder

Available in Classic and VPC

CLOVA Speech's builder allows you to request and manage voice recognition tasks with a UI environment. A builder is provided for each domain, and the following menus can be used in the builder.

• Demo menu: register and manage recognition tasks, and edit and export task results
• Keyword boosting menu: register words whose recognition probability you want to increase as keywords and manage registered keywords
• Correct recognition results menu: correct recognition results through post-processing
• Setting menu: check domain information

Execute builder

The following describes how to execute a builder.

1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and the Platform menu on the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
2. Click Services > AI Services > CLOVA Speech menus in order.
3. Click the Domain menu of the Short sentence recognition type.
4. Click the [Execute builder] button of the domain.

Demo

In the Demo menu of the builder, you can use the short sentence recognition demo function by uploading a sound source to NAVER Cloud Platform console without API Gateway integration. You can check recognition results on the screen, and you can download them. When attempting recognition, a one-time CLOVA Speech call fee will be charged.
The Demo screen is configured as follows:

To use the CLOVA Speech function on the console without API Gateway integration, upload the sound source by dragging and dropping the selected sound source in the upload window or clicking on the screen. The upload file standards to check when uploading are as follows:

• Image file upload standards
  • Size: up to 10 MB
    • Format: sound files like mp3, aac, ac3, ogg, flac and wav
  • Sound source length: 60 or less

Keyword boosting

You can increase the recognition rate for a specific word through keyword boosting. The Keyword boosting menu allows you to register and manage keywords.

The basic description of the Keyword boosting menu for using the builder is as follows:

Register keyword

The following describes how to register added keywords in the server.

1. Add a keyword.
   • Add a keyword in the screen for adding keywords.
2. Click the [Register] button.

Add keywords

The following describes how to add keywords for an increased recognition rate.

You can register keywords in any of the following ways:

• Upload keyword files: add multiple keywords at once by uploading an Excel file containing keywords
• Add individual keywords: enter keywords in the builder and add them

Upload keyword file

The following describes how to upload an Excel file containing keywords and register multiple items at once.

1. Create an Excel file containing keywords.
   • If you click the Upload template in the screen for procedure No. 4, you can check the template of the keyword file.
2. Click the Keyword boosting menu in the builder of the domain.
3. Click the [Upload] button.
4. When the Upload popup window appears, drag the file with the mouse or click here. Drag the keyword file in the local PC into the field, or drag the file with the mouse or click here. Click the field and select a keyword file.
5. Click the [OK] button.
   • Overwrite: if you click the checkbox to select it, all existing keywords are deleted and new keywords are registered

Add individual keywords

The following describes how to directly add keywords in the builder.

1. Click the Keyword boosting menu in the builder of the domain.
2. Enter the keywords to add. Click the field and enter keywords.
3. Click the [Add] button.

Edit keywords

The following describes how to edit registered keywords.

1. Click the Keyword boosting menu in the builder of the domain.
2. From the keyword list, click of the keyword to edit.
3. Click the keyword input field to edit the keyword, and click .
   • To edit a keyword, click .

Download keywords

The following describes how to download registered keywords at once.

1. Click the Keyword boosting menu in the builder of the domain.
2. Click the checkbox of the keyword to be downloaded from the keyword list to select it.
   • You can select multiple keywords simultaneously.
3. Click the [Download] button.
   • The Excel file including keywords and weight information is downloaded.

Delete keywords

The following describes how to delete the registered keywords.

1. Click the Keyword boosting menu in the builder of the domain.
2. Click the checkbox of the keyword to be deleted from the keyword list to select it.
   • You can select multiple keywords simultaneously.
   • You may also click the [Delete] button of the keyword to immediately delete the keyword.
3. Click the [Delete keyword] button.
4. When the alert pop-up window appears, click the [OK] button.

Correct Recognition Result

You can express recognition result correction by correcting recognized results. In the Correct recognition result menu, you can register and manage messages.

The basic description of the Correct recognition result menu for using the builder is as follows:

Register message

The following describes how to register added messages in the server.

1. Add a message.
   • In the following Add message screen, register messages.
2. Click the Register button.

The following describes how to add a message to correct.

You can add messages in any of the following ways:

• Upload message files: register multiple messages at once by uploading an Excel file containing messages
• Add individual messages: enter messages in the builder and add them

Upload message files

The following describes how to upload an Excel file containing messages and register multiple messages at once.

1. Create an Excel file containing messages.
   • If you click Upload template in the screen for procedure No. 4, you can check the template of the message file.
2. Click the Correct recognition result menu in the builder of the domain.
3. Click the [Upload] button.
4. When the Upload popup window appears, drag the file with the mouse or click here. Drag the keyword file in the local PC into the field, or drag the file with the mouse or click here. Click the field and select a keyword file.
5. Click the [OK] button.
   • Overwrite: if you click the checkbox to select it, all existing keywords are deleted and new keywords are registered

Add individual messages

The following describes how to directly add messages in the builder.

1. Click the Correct recognition result menu in the builder of the domain.
2. Enter necessary messages (type, before and after correction) in the Message input window.
3. Click the [Add] button.

Edit message

The following describes how to edit registered messages.

1. Click the Correct recognition result menu in the builder of the domain.
2. From the message list, click of the message to edit.
3. Click the message input field to edit the message, and click .
   • To cancel message editing, click .

Download message

The following describes how to download registered messages at once.

1. Click the Correct recognition result menu in the builder of the domain.
2. Click the checkbox of the message to be downloaded from the messages list to select it.
   • You can select multiple messages simultaneously.
3. Click the [Download] button.
   • The Excel file containing selected messages is downloaded.

Delete message

The following describes how to delete the registered messages.

1. Click the Correct recognition result menu in the builder of the domain.
2. Click the checkbox of the message to be deleted from the message list to select it.
   • You can select multiple messages simultaneously.
   • You may also click the [Delete] button of the message to immediately delete the message.
3. Click the [Delete message] button.

Check API call information and domain information

The Settings menu allows you to check link information for API calls and information on the domains connected to the builder.

The following describes how to check the link information to call an API.

1. In the builder of the domain, click the Settings menu.
2. Click the [Link information] tab.
3. Check the Secret Key and CLOVA Speech Invoke URL of the domain.
   • [Create] button: click it to create/re-create the secret key
   • [Copy] button: click it to copy the information to the clipboard

Check domain information

The following describes how to check the information on domains connected to the builder.

1. In the builder of the domain, click the Settings menu.
2. Click the [Domain information] tab.
3. Check the information on domains connected to the builder.
   • Domain information
     • Domain name: the name of the domain
     • Domain code: the code of the domain
     • Type: the pricing plan applied to the domain
   • Storage settings
     • Result file storage path: object storage path for storing recognition result files
     • Recognition target storage path: object storage path for selecting recognition target files
     • [Shortcut to Object Storage] button: click it to go to the console screen of Object Storage
