Available in VPC
When the Data Box Frame is created, the administrator can forward the box information created in the Data Box Frame to the analyst. In order to control the arbitrary export of data to be analyzed, you can set whether or not to allow external communication for each analyst space and to set the view of the data to be analyzed.
1. Configure and share access information
It guides analysts on how to forward Box's access information appropriately.
Configure SSL VPN
Analysts must have SSL VPN user setup in order to access Box. After the VPN connection, the analyst can connect to the Connect Server and use the data inside Box. This section describes how to set up SSL VPN.
- In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Box Frame > My Box Frame.
- Click View for the frame that requires VPN configuration.

- Click View for the box that requires VPN configuration.

- Click Configure SSL VPN user.
- You can create up to 3 SSL VPNs per connect server.
- You can edit the number of SSL VPNs via the Number of connection IDs if necessary.
- You can check the connection address of SSL VPN through the connection URL.
- After entering Username, Password, Email, and SMS, click Add.

- Check the connection with the created SSL VPN.
- If you need to change the SSL VPN information, click Edit on the SSL VPN user settings page.
To connect SSL VPN:
- Install SSL VPN Agent.
- For more information on how to install the SSL VPN Agent, see Install SSL VPN Agent in the SSL VPN user guide (VPC).
- Run the BIG-IP Edge Client.
- For more information on how to access the BIG-IP Edge Client, see Access SSL VPN Agent in the SSL VPN user guide (VPC).
- Server address
- https://sslvpn-kr-vpc-01.ncloud.com
- Enter the registered username and password and click the [Log on].
- Enter the OTP code sent to your mobile phone or email account and click the [Log on].
Share access information
In order for an analyst to access Box, it is necessary to forward information through the following steps.
- In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Box Frame > My Box Frame.
- Click View of the Frame that requires information forwarding.
- Click View of the Box that requires information forwarding.
- Forward the 2 pieces of information below to the analyst.
- SSL VPN connection information (Username, Password) and connection method
- Box access information (access information of each server)
2. Enable internet access by box
You can configure network settings by box to manage analysis data. Because a box is initially created in a blocked state, the analyst must allow external communication to set the analysis environment. To allow external communication by box:
- In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Box Frame > My Box Frame.
- Click View for the frame that requires action.

- Click View for the box that requires action.

- Check the network blocking status at the top.

- Verify data access, then change the status to allow external communication.

To protect the provided analysis data, check the data access settings before proceeding with network permission.
3. Install analysis environment
After external communication is enabled for the box in use, the analyst must configure the analysis environment on the Connect Server and Ncloud TensorFlow Server using the provided connection information. After accessing each box, configure the analysis environment following the box access guide. Afterwards, notify the Data Box Frame manager that the environment setting has been completed and ask to view the data.
4. Verify installation and block internet access
To block external communication by box:
- In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Box Frame > My Box Frame.
- Click View for the frame that requires action.

- Click View for the box that requires action.

- Check the network blocking status at the top.

- After confirming that the analyst's task has ended, change the status to block external communication.

5. Allow access by data group
Once the network is blocked, allow access to shared data. Before changing the data access status, complete the data group settings. The method for allowing access to data for each box is as follows.
- In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Box Frame > My Box Frame.
- Click View for the frame that requires action.

- Click View for the box that requires action.

- Click Change in Shared data access.

- Allow access via Change access status, then click OK.

6. Manage box
You can manage created box resources on the details page. To manage box resources:
Reboot server
- In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Box Frame > My Box Frame.
- Click View for the box that requires a reboot.

- Select the server to reboot, then click Reboot server.

- Make sure there are no ongoing tasks on in the server, and click OK.

Change NAS capacity
- From NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Box Frame > My Box Frame menu, in that order.
- Click View for the box that requires a change.

- Click Change NAS capacity.

- Change the volume capacity, then click OK.
Reset password
- From NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Box Frame > My Box Frame menu, in that order.
- Click View for the box that requires a password reset.

- Select the Username that requires a password reset, enter a new password, then click OK.

Set ACG exception
This function is provided to allow exceptional external communication independently of the network blocking status for the use of custom solutions within Box. Accessible IP and Port policies within Box can be set, and the policy set is equally applied to all servers within Box.
- In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Box Frame > My Box Frame.
- Click View for the box that requires ACG exception settings.

- Click [Set ACG exception].

- After reading through the checklist, create the necessary policies.

- Review the added policy, then click [OK].
This feature is only enabled on Box in DataBoxFrames with expanded infrastructure management permission.
