    Article Summary

    Available in VPC

When the Data Box Frame is created, the administrator can forward the box information created in the Data Box Frame to the analyst. In order to control the arbitrary export of data to be analyzed, you can set whether or not to allow external communication for each analyst space and to set the view of the data to be analyzed.

    1. Connection information setting and forwarding

It guides analysts on how to forward Box's access information appropriately.

    Set SSL VPN

Analysts must have SSL VPN user setup in order to access Box. After the VPN connection, the analyst can connect to the Connect Server and use the data inside Box. To do this, we will guide you through how to set up SSL VPN.

    1. From NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Box Frame > My Box Frame menu, in that order.
    2. Click View of the Frame that requires VPN settings.

      • You can create up to 3 SSL VPNs per connect server.
      • You can edit the number of SSL VPNs via the Number of connection IDs if necessary.
      • You can check the connection address of SSL VPN through the connection URL.
    5. After entering Username, Password, Email, and SMS, click +Add.

    6. Check the connection with the created SSL VPN.
      • You can change the SSL VPN information through the Edit button on the SSL VPN user settings page.
    Note

The method to connect the SSL VPN is as follows.

    • Install SSL VPN Agent.
    • Launch the BIG-IP Edge Client.
      • For instructions on connecting to the BIG-IP Edge Client, see SSL VPN Agent Access in the SSL VPN User Guide (VPC).
      • Server address
        • https://sslvpn-kr-vpc-01.ncloud.com
        • https://sslvpn-kr-vpc-02.ncloud.com
    • Enter the registered Username and Password and click the Log On button.
    • Enter the OTP verification code for the password sent through mobile phone or email, and then click the Log On button.

In order for an analyst to access Box, it is necessary to forward information through the following steps.

    1. From NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Box Frame > My Box Frame menu, in that order.
    2. Click View of the Frame that requires information forwarding.
    3. Click View of the Box that requires information forwarding.
    4. Forward the two pieces of information below to the analyst.
      • SSL VPN connection information (Username, Password) and connection method
      • Box access information (access information of each server)

    2. Internet Open by Box

You can perform network settings for each box to manage the data to be analyzed. As the box is initially created with the blocked status, the analyst must allow external communication to set the analysis environment inside the box. The following describes how to allow external communication for each box.

    1. From NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Box Frame > My Box Frame menu, in that order.
    2. Click View of the Frame to work.

    Note

To protect the provided analysis data, check the data access settings before proceeding with network permission.

    3. Install the analysis environment

Analysts must set up the analysis environment on the Connect Server and Ncloud TensorFlow Server that received the information after external communication is allowed in the currently used box. After accessing each Box, proceed with setting the analysis environment by referring to the Box connection method. Afterwards, notify the Data Box Frame manager that the environment setting has been completed and ask to view the data.

    4. Block the Internet after confirming installation completion

The following describes how to block external communication by box.

    1. From NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Box Frame > My Box Frame menu, in that order.
