This article will explain how to check the status of consumer groups in the Topic menu. You can monitor the rack size of consumer groups and the offsets currently being processed by time zone to infer various abnormal situations such as real-time data processing delays, bottlenecks by consumer group, and lack of system resources, and effectively utilize them for cause analysis and tracking.
Check consumer group status
To check consumer group status, follow these steps:
- In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Stream in order.
- Click the Topic menu.
- In the topic list, click View service details.
- On the topic details screen, click the [Consumer group] tab menu.
- When the screen appears, set the target consumer group and search period in the search filter.
- Set search target: Select the consumer group you want to check by clicking on it in the Consumer group drop-down list
- Set search period
- Last hour, last day, last 7 days, last month
- Click user-defined:
to set
- Check the status by consumer group.
- Consumer group lag: Rack information of consumer group by partition (Unit: Num)
- The closer it is to 0, the more real-time processing there is without delay
- Consumer group latest offset: Offset information last processed by the consumer group by partition (Unit: Num)
- Consumer group lag: Rack information of consumer group by partition (Unit: Num)

to move forward or backward 1 hour from the currently selected period to quickly check the chart results for that period.
