Familiarize yourself with these key terms to get the most out of Cloud DB Serverless.

DB Cluster · DB Cluster

A DB cluster is a group divided by roles. Typically, a single DB cluster consists of a Primary and multiple Replicas, and the multiple instance groups that hold the same data are collectively referred to as one cluster.

DB Instance · DB Instance

When a DB cluster is created, roles are automatically assigned, and it is automatically generated as Primary and Replica.

Auto Scaling · Auto Scaling

It is the Auto Scaling service provided by NAVER Cloud Platform, which flexibly responds to changes in demand by increasing or decreasing the number of virtual servers based on monitoring results or user settings.

Unit

The allocated Unit value is determined based on the Unit value entered in the DB instance specifications when creating a DB cluster.

ACG

It is the ACG (Access Control Group) service provided by NAVER Cloud Platform, which applies inbound and outbound traffic allowance rules when specifying a security group at server startup or later connecting a security group to an instance. By default, deny rules are applied.

Backup

Feature of Cloud DB Serverless to view backup information set for each service to keep your database data of subscribing users and perform restoration

Event

Features of Cloud DB Serverless to collect the occurred events in the server and view their history

Monitoring

Features of Cloud DB Serverless to view server performance and the operating system related to the running server and monitoring information related to the query execution
