You can create instances for Primary and Replica use in different zones. This provides higher availability.
Note
- By default, the multizone settings change feature is available when the DB instance status is running.
- The available menus for the multizone settings change feature differ depending on the DB cluster and DB instance.
To change Auto Scaling settings in the DB management menu:
- In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Database > Cloud DB Serverless.
- Click the DB Cluster menu.
- In the DB cluster list, click the DB cluster you want to change, and then click [DB Management].
- In the Change multizone settings menu, change the required options.
- Multizone settings: Whether to create instances for Primary and Replica use in different zones.
- Change the setting and click [Save].
Note
Changing the multizone settings does not interrupt the service.
If you change the multizone setting to true, data replication occurs to create Replicas in different zones from the Primary. Data replication time is proportional to the data size. DB Cluster operations are not possible until the setting change is complete.
If you change the multizone setting to false, Replicas located in a different zone from the Primary will be deleted.
