    This guide explains how to manage and monitor apps submitted from a workspace. The user can see the status and logs of the app executed. If there are errors or issues in the running app, then they can close the app.

    Check app details

    You can view the app's details and information for the container run by the app, etc. The app's details can only be viewed when the app's status is Running.

    The following describes how to view the app information.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Forest menu in order.
    2. Click AI Forest > Apps menus on the left.
    3. Select the account that has run the app.
    4. Check the app information from the app list.

      • App name: app name entered upon submission, followed by 8 random characters
      • Workspace: information for the workspace in which the app was run
      • Queue: information for the queue on which the app was run (default: GPU)
      • Status: app's status value. It shows a status among 6 statuses: Accepted, Running, Killed, Succeeded, Stopped, Failed.
      • Start time: date and time when the app started
      • Execute Time: time for which the app is running
    5. If the app's status is Running, then click the app name to view its details.

      • ID: unique ID information for the running container
      • Docker name: name of the running container
      • Status: status value of the running container
      • Start time: time when the container started
      • Host: information for the host where the container is running
      • Docker image: information for the running Docker container image
      • Vcore: number of vcores assigned to the container
      • Memory: memory assigned to the container

    Check app logs

    The following describes how to view an app's container log.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Forest menu in order.
    2. Click AI Forest > Apps menus on the left.
    3. Select the account that has run the app.
    4. To see an app's container log, click the log icon on the right side of the app list.
      • Stdout, Stderr: messages printed as a user program is executed
      • All: displays both Stdout and Stderr
      • Failure: displays the log for failed containers. Only displayed when the job has failed.

    End the app

    The following describes how to close down an app.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Forest menu in order.
    2. Click AI Forest > Apps menus on the left.
    3. Select the account that has run the app.
    4. Select the app to end from the app list, and then click [Manage App] > [Forcibly End] or [End].

    Note

    "Forcibly End" just kills a app, while "End" saves the interim data before ending the app. The interim data is saved in the Output path in HDFS under the workspace settings.

    App resource monitoring

    You can monitor resources used by the app.
