You might run into the following problems when using Data Forest. Find out causes and possible solutions.
Account password lost
I lost my Data Forest account password.
Cause
If you lost your password or need to change it, you can reset it.
To reset your account password:

To reset your account password:
- In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Forest > Accounts. - Select the account to reset, then go to Change account settings > [Reset account password].
- When the Initialize account password window appears, enter the new password and click the [Change] button.
Lost Kerberos keytab
I lost my Kerberos keytab.
Cause
If you lost the downloaded keytab or need to rotate it, you can reissue the Kerberos keytab.
Solution
To reissue your Kerberos keytab:
- In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Forest > Accounts. - Select the account, then go to Change account settings > Initialize Kerberos keytab.
- When the Initialize Kerberos keytab window appears, review the details and click [Initialize].
Unable to upload HDFS files
HDFS files fail to upload.
Cause
HDFS has limits on the number of files and total size.
Solution
To change the file count and size limits for HDFS:
- In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Forest > Accounts. - Select the account, then navigate to Change account settings > Change HDFS quota.
- In the Change HDFS quota popup, set the desired limits and click [Change].
