Analyze app crash
You can check the crash information of iOS and Android devices in the App Crash menu of the Effective Log Search & Analytics web app. Crashes that occurred within 24 hours are displayed in the form of detailed logs and graph with the number of crashes by default.
View issue
It provides a feature to view app crashes occurred.
① This displays the currently-selected project names and the number of crashes viewed within the period specified in the current project. This allows you to change the projects that you want to view their app crashes anytime.
② This allows you to check crash occurrence status within the period specified with a history graph.
③ This allows you to enter the period and detailed conditions of the crashes that occurred to view the crashes or exceptions you want.
Category | Description |
---|---|
Type | This is an exception type with crashes. You can select either Crash or Exception. |
Status | You can search by selecting certain exception types. You can select among Unresolved, Resolved, Reregistration, or Closed. Exceptions occurred are in Unresolved status by default. You can change them to different statuses. Refer to Change exception status for how to change to different statuses. |
Period | You can select the time to view crashes. |
Version | You can view crashes that occurred per app version (project version). |
OS | You can view crashes that occurred per OS. |
Tag | You can view crashes that occurred per tag. |
Exception type | You can view certain exception types by specifying them. |
Position | You can view crashes that occurred in certain functions or files. |
④ You can view app crashes occurred. Summarized information such as version, number of crashes, initial occurrence time, the most recent occurrence time, and so on is displayed. Click the Detail button to check the stacktrace of the exception. Refer to View app crash details for more information.
View app crash details
Click the [Detail] button of certain exception types in the View app crash screen to check the stacktrace of the crash.
① This displays the number of the selected exception type's occurrence.
② This displays the most recent time when the selected exception type was selected.
③ This displays the time when the selected exception type initially occurred.
④ This displays the status of selected exception type. Refer to Change exception status for how to change exception statuses.
⑤ You can check the stacktrace of the selected exception type.
⑥ You can check the information of devices where the selected exception type occurred.
⑦ You can check comments such as the selected exception type's processing status, and register new comments.
⑧ You can check the change history, such as status changes of the selected exception status, as a timeline.
⑨ You can check the information of countries where the selected exception type occurred.
Change exception status
Collected exception type is in Unresolved status by default. You can change it to another status to explicitly show what status the selected exception type is in. You can also use it in the Status of the search conditions to manage the exception types effectively.
Change multiple kinds of exception statuses
You can select multiple exception types to change their statuses at once in the View app crash screen.
- You can select the exception types whose statuses you want to change.
- You can select all the exception types exposed to the current page.
- You can batch-change exception types' statuses.
Category | Description |
---|---|
Unresolved | This is the default status of the issue where the exception type occurred. You can change it to a different status. |
Resolved | This specifies that the issue regarding the exception type is resolved. You need to enter the version where this issue was resolved. |
Reregistration | This specifies that the issue regarding the exception type occurred again, even though it was closed or resolved. |
Closed | This specifies that the issue regarding the exception type is closed. |
Trend
You can quickly check trends for the selected project's app crashes that have occurred in the last 7/14/30 days.
The trend information that you can check is as follows:
- Number of crashes
- Number of users
- Statistics for all errors
- Statistics for unresolved errors
- Version / Issue graph per version
- OS version / Issue graph per OS version
- Device / Issue graph per device
- Country / Issue graph per country
Real time monitoring
You can monitor the app crash occurrence status of the selected project in real time.

You can check the statistics for the app crash occurrence of the selected project by specifying a period.
