Available in Classic and VPC

In Projects, it describes how to create and manage projects. Once you complete the project creation and log collection settings, you can send logs to the project through SDK provided in Effective Log Search & Analytics 2.0 service and check and manage collected logs through Web App.

Project interface

The basics of using Projects menu for Effective Log Search & Analytics 2.0 are as follows:

Component Description
① Menu name Shows the current menu name and number of projects created.
② Basic features What you see when you first enter the Projects menu
  • [Create Project] button: Create project.
  • [Access Web App]: Access Web App.
  • [Learn more]: Go to the Effective Log Search & Analytics 2.0 overview page.
  • [Refresh]: Reload the Projects menu page.
③ Project list Created project list
  • Project name: The project name you entered when creating the project.
  • Project description: The description of the project that you entered when creating the project.
  • Team name: The team name you entered when creating the project.
  • Maximum daily collection log capacity: The maximum daily collectible log volume set for the current project.
  • Log retention period: The collected log retention period set for the current project.
  • Log sampling: Log sampling method currently set for your project.
  • Created time (UTC+09:00): The date and time when the project was created.
  • Edited time (UTC+09:00): The date and time when you edited the project's basic information or log collection settings.

View project details

To check the created project's information:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu >Services > Management & Governance > Effective Log Search & Analytics 2.0.
  2. Click the Projects menu.
  3. Click the project name on the project list to check details.
    • Project Information
      • Project name: The project name you entered when creating the project.
      • Project ID: Project ID automatically assigned when the project is created.
      • Group: The name of the group to which the current project was added as a group (see Add project to the group)
      • Project description: The description of the project that you entered when creating the project.
      • Team name: The team name you entered when creating the project.
      • Created time: When the project was created (UTC+09:00)
      • Edited time: The time (UTC+09:00) when you edited project basic information or log collection settings
      • Project Key: Automatically assigned project key value, used when collecting and searching logs.
        • i-elsa2-clipboard: copy the project key value to clipboard
      • TXT Token: Automatically assigned token value, used when collecting and searching logs.
        • i-elsa2-clipboard: copy the token value to clipboard

Create project

To create a project:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Management & Governance > Effective Log Search & Analytics 2.0.
  2. Click the Projects menu.
  3. Click the [Create project].
  4. When the project creation interface appears, enter basic information of the project and set log collection options.
    • Basic information: Enter basic information about your project.
      • Project name: Enter a name for the project you want to create.
        • Starting with an English letter, enter 2 to 45 characters without spaces by combining English letters, numbers, and a special character (-).
        • You cannot change the project name once the project is created
      • Team name: Enter the team name of the project you want to create.
        • It must begin in English and be between two and forty characters long, containing a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters (-) with no spaces.
      • Project description: Enter a description for the application.
        • 255 or fewer characters can be entered.
    • Configurations: Setting options for log collection
      • Set the maximum daily collection log capacity: Set the maximum collectible log volume per day (in unit: GB)
        • Set the capacity within 1024 GB.
      • Log retention period: Set the retention period for the collected logs.
      • Log sampling: How to sample logs (delete a certain percentage of log data) and set thresholds for unusually large traffic events.
        • Always: Always apply log sampling. (Threshold: count/s = 0)
        • Disabled: Disable sampling.
        • Auto: Estimating thresholds based on daily log volume.
        • Custom Count: Enter a count-based threshold value directly (within 50000 count/s).
        • Custom Size: Manually enter a size-based threshold (within 51200 KIB/s).
    Note
    • Run log sampling: By checking every 30 seconds, sampling is run when the speed of the project is faster than the threshold, which is determined to be abnormal.
    • When log sampling is executed, you can check the data deletion status on the Search menu page of Web App. (See "Search")
  5. Click [Save].
    • The Project is created and displayed on the list.

Edit project

To edit a project:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Management & Governance > Effective Log Search & Analytics 2.0.
  2. Click the Projects menu.
  3. Click the name of the project to edit on the project list.
  4. Click the [Edit].
  5. Edit the basic information and log collection options.
    • For details about basic information and log collection options, see "Create project".
  6. Click [Save].

Delete project

To delete a project:

Caution
  • When you delete a project, all logs saved in the project will be deleted and cannot be restored.
  • It takes twenty four hours at maximum to delete a project, and during this time, you cannot create a project with the same name as the deleted one.
  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Management & Governance > Effective Log Search & Analytics 2.0.
  2. Click the Projects menu.
  3. Click the name of the project to delete on the project list.
  4. Click [Delete].
  5. Check the details in the delete pop-up and then click [Delete].
  6. Click [OK].
    • The project is deleted and disappeared from the project list.
