There are a few terms you need to know to use File Safer. The glossary and its description are as follows.

RESTful API

API designed in compliance with the REST principles

Message-Digest Algorithm 5 (MD5)

Cryptographic hash function that generates the 128-bit output value (hash value) specified as RFC 1321. Often referred to as MD5, it is displayed as 32 bytes in hexadecimal on File Safer (e.g., 9c2f83f1742a29c109ee8f2239ee87d8).

Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA)

Cryptographic hash algorithm that the USA's NSA (National Security Agency) devised in the message digest (MD) method to apply to the Digital Signature Algorithm (DSA). File Safer supports SHA-1, and it is displayed as 40 bytes in hexadecimal format (e.g., c2f785f44d44b3c2e4b24d1ff4330b683ab0fa7d).

Malicious URL

URLs of web pages (or scripts) created to perform malicious activities to distribute malicious codes to general users

Malware

Software intentionally created by a third party to perform malicious activities such as destroying the system or leaking information against the will and interests of general users.

File Safer

A NAVER Cloud Platform service that scans for malicious content in files and outlinks provided by the customer service

File Filter

A feature to analyze the malicious content by uploading a file that has not been identified by the hash filter

Hash-based Message Authentication Code (HMAC)

echnique that applies the hashing technique to prevent the forgery and tampering of messages

Hash Filter

A feature to check for malicious content by using a hash value extracted from the string of a file or URL that is suspected to be malicious

Hash

Value earned by "Cryptographic Hash Function" that maps a length of data using a fixed length of data. It is often referred to as hash value, hash code, hash checksum, and hash.
