Available in Classic and VPC
Global CDN is a service that enables you to transfer contents quickly and stably from anywhere around the world through cache servers located in global bases. On Global CDN of NAVER Cloud Platform, you can enhance the speed and quality of large file transfer by just making simple settings and also reduce the server load in high traffic to transfer contents stably.
Global CDN does not guarantee the quality of service in Korea or China. For more information, contact us through Customer Support. To use the CDN service in Korea or China, note the following:
- Korea: you must use Global Edge.
- China: you need an ICP (Internet Content Provider) license.
Various features of Global CDN
The following is a description of Global CDN’s various features.
- Continuity in global service: transfer contents quickly to users located around the world through more than 210,000 cache servers distributed throughout around 120 countries. If a failure occurs in the server being used, you can bypass to another server located closest to continue transferring the contents stably and without disruption.
- Enhanced availability: cache servers cache the contents from the original server, reducing load on the original server and enabling you to process high traffic.
- Various original server types: global CDN supports sharing of contents with various server types through the HTTP, HTTPS and HTTP/2 protocols and enables you to set various web servers or Object Storage and Server of NAVER Cloud Platform as the original server and freely designate ports for connection.
- Powerful security in contents transfer: global CDN provides the HTTPS protocol, so you can use both HTTP and HTTPS or just use HTTPS. Strengthen security in the contents transfer route by using HTTPS. You can also restrict access only to the domains registered as a referrer and create security URLs based on security tokens.
- High-speed purge (guaranteed reliability of contents): existing contents stored in the hundreds of thousands of cache servers located around the world are deleted within just a few seconds, and new contents from the original server are cached as per the user’s request.
- Convenient usability: select various cache options on NAVER Cloud Platform’s console to customize the settings and enhance convenience. View the access log of content requests and analyze patterns of content transfers and uses. Use the user environment diagnostic tools to measure the service quality for yourself and contact customer service to request assistance for improvement based on the measurements.
