Available in Classic and VPC
Global DNS is a service that helps you identify domain names used on the Internet with their actual access address. By providing Domain Name System (DNS) server in a cloud format that is difficult for individuals to operate, users can easily configure and manage domains needed to run their service.
A variety of features provided by Global DNS
The following is a description of various features provided by Global DNS.
- Optimal global routing: you can get fast responses from the closest name servers through the global network.
- Alias support: you can redirect a specific domain name to another domain name. Alias works similarly to the CNAME record (Canonical Name record), but you can use an alias to map the root domain, which can address the limitations of CNAME.
- Simple migration: you can easily migrate a zone file to NAVER Cloud Platform's Global DNS by simply registering it.
- Statistics of the number of requests per domain: view statistics on the requests (queries) per domain in service to help you to operate.
