Describes how to edit or delete created Global Edge and how to delete the content stored in the edge server.
Change profile name
To change the profile name, follow these steps:
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Content Delivery > Global Edge. - Select a profile from the Profile drop down list at the top.
- Hover the mouse over
in the profile/edge settings area and click Change profile name. - Edit the profile name in the edit profile name window and click the [OK] button.
Delete profile
To delete a profile, follow these steps:
If a profile is deleted, all affiliated edge servers are deleted.
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Content Delivery > Global Edge. - Select a profile from the Profile drop down list at the top.
- Hover the mouse over
in the profile/edge settings area and click Delete profile. - Enter the profile name in the delete profile window and click the [OK] button.
Edit edge
To edit details of edge, follow these steps:
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Content Delivery > Global Edge. - Select a profile from the Profile drop down list at the top.
- Click to select an edge to edit from the edge list.
- Click the settings you want to edit in the profile/edge settings area.
- Go to the Edge setting page.
- Edit the detailed settings.

- If you have completed editing, click the [Finish edit] button at the top.
Change edge name
To change the edge name, follow these steps:
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Content Delivery > Global Edge. - Select a profile from the Profile drop down list at the top.
- Select an edge to change the name from the edge list.
- Hover the mouse over
in the profile/edge settings area and click Change edge name. - After editing the edge name in the change edge name window, click the [OK] button.
Duplicate edge
If you duplicate an edge, you can create a new edge configured in the same settings as the previously created edge. To duplicate an edge, follow these steps:
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Content Delivery > Global Edge.
- Select a profile from the Profile drop down list at the top.
- Click to select an edge to duplicate from the edge list and click the [Duplicate Edge] button.
- Enter the edge name and click the [Next] button.
- Enter the detailed settings of the edge.
- You must enter the service domain and source domain because they are not duplicated.
- More required inputs may exist depending on the settings of the edge to be duplicated. Check all settings.
- If you've completed the settings, click the [Finish setting] button at the top.
Pause and resume edge
To pause an edge in operation or resume a paused edge, follow these steps:
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Content Delivery > Global Edge. - Select a profile from the Profile drop down list at the top.
- Click to select an edge to pause or resume from the edge list and click the [Pause Edge] or [Resume Edge] button.
- In the OK popup window, click the [Pause] or [Resume] button.
- The deployment status of the edge is changed and the status change may take several minutes or longer to complete.
Delete edge
To delete an edge, follow these steps:
Only the paused edge can be deleted.
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Content Delivery > Global Edge. - Select a profile from the Profile drop down list at the top.
- Click to select an edge to delete from the edge list and click the [Delete Edge] button.
- Enter the edge name in the Delete popup window and click the [OK] button.
- Click the [OK] button.
Purge edge
You can delete the content stored in the edge server by purging and you can check the purge history.
Perform purge
To perform the purge, follow these steps:
For edges deployed to global as a service area, it takes about 40 minutes for 3 purge types to purge.
(Purge all, Purge directory, and Purge file extension)
The purge URLs unit supports quick Purge.
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Content Delivery > Global Edge. - Select a profile from the Profile drop down list at the top.
- Click to select an edge from the edge list and click [Purge] > [Perform Purge] in order.
- In the Perform Purge popup window, check whether the edge domain is correct and select a purge task to perform.
- Purge all: perform purge on all cached objects
- Purge directory: perform purge on objects in a specific directory. Require to enter the directory.
- Purge file extension: perform purge on objects having specific file extensions in the specific directory. Require to enter directory and file extension.
- Purge URLs unit: perform purge on objects having specific URLs. Require to enter the URL.
- Click the [OK] button.
You can enter multiple items with commas (,) and separators, and entered values are displayed as a list.
You can immediately remove incorrectly entered values from the list.

View purge history
To view the history of purges, follow these steps:
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Content Delivery > Global Edge. - Select a profile from the Profile drop down list at the top.
- Click to select an edge from the edge list and click [Purge] > [View Purge history] in order.
- Check the purge history in the View Purge history popup window.
- You can view up to 5 histories.
