    Article Summary

    Available in VPC

You can perform data computations once you have the key, data, and project ready. Create tasks and run them within each project to perform computations according to the input. The result data of the computation within a project is stored in a connected data folder.

This guide describes how to create, execute, and manage computational tasks, and how to perform computation simulations locally through pi-HEaaN. For more information about each computation feature, refer to Detailed description of computation types.

    Encrypted data computation

The following describes how to create a task and perform data computations.

    1. From the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > HEaaN Homomorphic Analytics > Projects menus, in that order.
    2. Select the project where you want to create a task from the list, and then click the [Create task] button.
    3. Enter the Task name, select Task type as General, and then click the [Next] button.
    4. Refer to the link below to select Category and Computation name, and then enter settings in the Computation detailed settings area before clicking the [Add] button. Repeat the procedure to add all the computation processes you want performed.
      • Manage columns: Move, extract, delete specific columns of the selected computed data
      • Statistical analysis: Use values within the selected computed data to perform statistics computation
      • Machine learning: Use the selected data to perform machine learning based on logistic regression
      • You can click hea-heause-calc_delete_vpc_ko of the computation process row added last to delete the computation process.
    5. Set whether to decrypt the computation result data by selecting or deselecting Decrypt result data, and then click the [Next] button.
      • If you don't select the option, then the cloud won't perform decryption. In this case, you should download the computation result data and use the agent to decrypt it yourself locally.
    6. Check the task creation information once again, and then click the [Create task] button.
      • The task will be created in the selected project's task list.
    7. Select the created task from the task list, and then click the [Run task] button when the Status changes to Creation complete.
      • You can choose multiple tasks simultaneously. In such cases, the selected tasks will be registered to a waiting queue within the cloud to be executed in order depending on the queue's situations.
    8. From the confirmation pop-up window, click the [Confirm] button.

If you run the task, the task's Status is displayed as Running in the task list. When the computation's complete, the Status changes to Execution complete, and the computation result will be saved in the connected data folder.

    View computation task details

Created data computation tasks are displayed in the task list. You can view their details and execution results or delete tasks in the list.

To see the list of data computation tasks created, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > HEaaN Homomorphic Analytics > Projects menus, in that order, from the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, and then select the project.

    View task details

To see a data computation task's details you created, select the project from the project list, and then click the row of the task you want to see in the task list.

    View computation result

You can check the execution results of the completed computational tasks.

The following describes how to view a computation task's result.

    1. Select a project from the project list, and then click the row of the task you want to see in the task list.
    2. Click the Execution result tab in the Details tab.
    3. (Optional) Click the [View result] button to see the log of an individual computation.
      • You can see the logs separated in the [Result data] tab and [Task log] tab in the View result pop-up window.
        • [Result data] tab: Check changes made to the data following individual task executions
        • [Task log] tab: Check the information of the log occurred during the individual task execution
      • You can select each computation process in Select individual task in each tab from the View result pop-up window to see each result.

    Delete task

The following describes how to delete a data computation task.

    Caution
    1. If you delete a task, then its execution result information is also deleted and can't be recovered. Make sure to review carefully before deleting.
    2. Even if you delete a task, the input data and result data used by the task remain in the connected data folder. The Object Storage fee will continue to be incurred as long as the data is maintained. If you don't need this data, then delete it by referring to Delete data.
    1. Select a project from the project list, and then click the row of the task you want to delete in the task list.
    2. Click the [Delete task] button above the list.
    3. Enter the task's name in the confirmation pop-up window, and then click the [Delete] button.
