    You can create and manage projects for using IoT Device Hub under Project. You can also access the device management console where you can register and manage IoT devices to the projects created.

    The basics of using Project are as follows.

    View project list

    You can check the information about each project from the list of projects that have been created and are in operation. The following describes how to view the information.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's Platform menu, click and select between VPC and Classic.
    2. Click the Services > Internet of Things > IoT Device Hub menus in this order.
    3. Click the Project menu.
    4. When the list of created projects appear, view the summarized information or click a project to see the details.

      • Details: the project's creation information
        • Name: the project's name
        • Description: additional content about the project's properties
        • Pricing plan: IoT Device Hub contract period applied to the project (annual, monthly)
        • Subscription type: the type of subscribed product applied to the project. Click iotdevicehub-project_ico-01_ko to go to the portal's My Page > Manage usage where you can see the monthly billing status according to subscription types
        • (Pricing plan) Status: the project's status, disabled by default. The project status can be changed in the device management console.
          • Disabled: the status where the project is disabled and you are not being charged
          • Enabled: the status where the project is enabled and you are being charged
            • Enabled date/time: the date when the billing started (the date on which the selected pricing plan was enabled)
            • End date/time: the date when the billing will end (the end of the contract period depending on the selected pricing plan)
        • Device management console information: information about the products registered on the project and number of devices
        • Number of registered products: number of the products registered on the project through the device management console
        • Number of registered devices (number of allowed devices): number of the devices registered through the device management console and the maximum number for the devices that can be registered

    Create project

    The following describes how to create a IoT Device Hub project from the NAVER Cloud Platform console.

    Note
    • You can create up to 10 projects.
    • Monthly pricing plans are provided as of February 2022. Annual pricing plan support will be provided in the future.
    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's Platform menu, click and select between VPC and Classic.
    2. Click the Services > Internet of Things > IoT Device Hub menus in this order.
    3. Click the Project menu.
    4. Click the [Create project] button.
    5. When the Create project pop-up window appears, enter the required information.
      • Name: Enter the name of the project to create between 3 to 30 characters. The name must start with an English lowercase letter and be a combination of English lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.
      • Description: Enter the information for the project to create.
      • Pricing plan: Click to select the pricing plan to apply on the project to create.
      • Subscription type: Click to select the type to apply to the project to create, specifying the number of registerable devices and messages provided by default.
    6. Read the precautions about the pricing plan, and mark the I read the information about annual/monthly pricing plans, and agree to create a project. checkbox.
    7. Click the [Create] button.

    Modify project

    The following describes how to modify information for an IoT Device Hub project created from the NAVER Cloud Platform console.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's Platform menu, click and select between VPC and Classic.
    2. Click the Services > Internet of Things > IoT Device Hub menus in this order.
    3. Click the Project menu.
    4. Click to select the project to modify, and then click the [Modify project] button.
    5. When the Modify project pop-up window appears, modify the required information.
    6. Read the precautions about the pricing plan, and mark the I read the information about annual/monthly pricing plans, and agree to create a project. checkbox.
    7. Click the [Save] button.

    Cancel project pricing plan

    You can cancel the usage of the pricing plan applied to the IoT Device Hub project you created in the NAVER Cloud Platform console. Canceling the pricing plan usage means to cancel (delete) the project, and all devices registered on the project will be deleted. Accordingly, the devices in use will also become unavailable.

    Caution

    When canceling project pricing plan, please proceed carefully, keeping the following in mind.

    • Projects whose pricing plan are canceled can't be recovered or used again.
    • Canceling when the contract period hasn't ended will incur a cancellation fee.
      • The cancellation fee billed is calculated by adding the discounted amount for the contract period and 10% of the fees for the remaining contract period.
      • However, no cancellation fee is charged if the service is canceled within 7 days of the subscription to the annual pricing plan.

    The following describes how to cancel a project pricing plan.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's Platform menu, click and select between VPC and Classic.
    2. Click the Services > Internet of Things > IoT Device Hub menus in this order.
    3. Click the Project menu.
    4. Click to select the project you wish to cancel the pricing plan, and then click the [Cancel pricing plan] button.
    5. When the Cancel pricing plan pop-up window appears, click the [Cancel pricing plan] button.
