IPsec VPN is a service that helps encrypted tunneling communication between networks of an external customer and NAVER Cloud Platform. Once a VPN environment is established, the permissioned network provides secure, 24/7 access to the internal corporate network, providing connectivity similar to that of a private network.
A variety of features IPsec VPN offers
Please see below for detailed descriptions about the various features that IPsec VPN offers.
- Guaranteed high-quality communication: You can use high-quality, secure communication by using IPsec VPN-dedicated devices whose performance and stability have been verified and the operational know-how of NAVER Cloud Platform.
- Automated settings and immediate use: You can use the service right away without any waiting time and conveniently manage the network through the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
- Virtual Tunneling Encryption: Through virtual tunneling encrypted with the standard IPsec protocol, you can safely access the NAVER CLOUD PLATFORM’s internal network from an external customer's network.
- Reasonable rates: You can choose a rate plan that fits the size you want, and you pay only for the amount you use without additional installation fees or basic fees, so you can use the service at a lower price compared to a dedicated line connection.

Check FAQs first.
You can get your questions answered quickly by referring to the answers in the FAQ before reading the guide. If you haven't found the answer to your question in the FAQ below, then search the guide for what you would like to know.
Q. What is IPsec VPN?
A. VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, which refers to a method of connecting a PC or network to a private network that can't be accessed from outside. The connection is made through a virtual tunnel and IPsec VPN protects this virtual tunnel by encrypting with Internet Protocol Security (IPSec).
Q. What is Guaranteed Bandwidth?
A. This is an option to guarantee bandwidth for traffic when creating an IPsec VPN Gateway. Depending on the network size, you can select one of 10 Mbps, 20 Mbps, and 30 Mbps. The bandwidth guarantee is bi-directional, so if you select 10 Mbps, for example, you are guaranteed 10 Mbps each of inbound and outbound traffic.
Q. What is Peer IP address?
A. This is the public IP address of the IPsec VPN Gateway of the customer's network on the outside. This is a required element when creating an IPsec VPN Tunnel for encrypted tunneling communication.
