Available in Classic and VPC

IPsec VPN is a service that helps encrypted tunneling communication between your external network and NAVER Cloud Platform's network. As long as the VPN environment is set up, the approved network can access the corporate internal network anytime through the secured method. Therefore, it provides a connection just like a private network.

IPsec VPN features

IPsec VPN provides the following features:

  • Guaranteed high-quality communication: you can use high-quality security communication using dedicated devices for IPsec VPN that have been validated for performance and stability, and NAVER Cloud Platform's operational know-how.
  • Automated settings and ready to use: you can use the service without a separate waiting time and manage the network conveniently through the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  • Virtual tunneling encryption: you can safely access the network configured within NAVER Cloud Platform from your external network through virtual tunneling encrypted with standard IPsec protocols.
  • Reasonable pricing plans: you can select a pricing plan that matches your desired size. The price is paid only based on your usage without any separate installation fee or base fee, so you can use the service at a lower cost than an exclusive circuit connection.

IPsec VPN FAQs

You can have your questions answered quickly by referring to the answers in the FAQs before reading the user guide. If your questions are not resolved in the FAQs, see the user guides to find the information you want.

Q. What is IPsec VPN?
A. VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, which refers to a method of connecting a PC or network to a private network that cannot be accessed from outside. The connection with the private network is made through a virtual tunnel and IPsec VPN protects this virtual tunnel by encrypting it with Internet Protocol Security (IPsec).

Q. What is guaranteed bandwidth?
A. It is an option that guarantees the bandwidth for traffic when you create IPsec VPN Gateway. You can select 1 from 10 Mbps, 20 Mbps, or 30 Mbps, considering the size of the network. The guaranteed bandwidth is 2-way, so when you select 10 Mbps, the inbound and outbound traffic guarantee 10 Mbps, respectively.

Q. What is Peer IP address?
A. It is a public IP address that IPsec VPN Gateway of your external network has. It is an element required to create IPsec VPN Tunnel for encrypted tunneling communication.
