Available in Classic and VPC
Live Station provides the following features through its API:
- This guide only covers the API for setting live short clips, Live Curtain, and VOD2LIVE features in the general channel of Live Station.
- The features provided through the API are not available in the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
- The user-friendly UI page for the features provided through the API will be offered through the integration feature of Media Connect Center in NAVER Cloud Platform.
Live Short Clip
Live short clip is a feature, which allows you to create short clips in real time using DVR of live broadcasting. You can quickly service VODs using the generated short clips, and use them as short-form content.
If a broadcast is streamed through a channel with the LL-HLS protocol applied, which is offered as beta, you cannot use the live short clip feature.
Using live short clip
Proceed with the following steps to use the live short clip feature.

1. Create snapshot
To create a live short clip, you must first create a snapshot to edit the short clip. Snapshots can only be created from a live broadcasting channel and are created from the last 4 hours of the live broadcast.
<Example 1> if you create a snapshot 3 hours after the start of a live broadcast, a 3-hour snapshot will be created
<Example 2> If you create a snapshot 5 hours after the start of a live broadcast, a 4-hour snapshot will be created, starting from 1 hour after the start of the live broadcast

2. Create live short clip
You can create a short clip from the snapshot you created. Short clips are created in the highest resolution quality of the original live broadcast, and are created as MP4 files. The created MP4 file will be saved in the Object Storage bucket specified by the user.

You can stream the created short clips (MP4 files) as HLS using the VOD Station. For detailed information on HLS streaming using the VOD Station, see VOD streaming guide.
Live Curtain
Live curtain is a
feature, which allows you to temporarily replace the playback page of a live broadcasting channel with administrator rights. Using this feature, you can process live broadcasting blinds, announce service notices, etc.
Using live curtain
Proceed with the following steps to use the live curtain feature.
1. Register curtain content
2. Perform live curtain
3. Close live curtain
1. Register curtain content
To use the live curtain feature, you need to register curtain content (alternative content). You can register content with a maximum size of 100 Mbytes and a resolution of FHD or less, as a combination of video or image + audio. Go to the Live Station API guide in the API guide, and click on Live curtain management API to check the API for registering curtain content.

- After registering Curtain content, a registered content ID is issued, and you can perform live curtain using the content ID.
- At the moment of registering curtain content, the curtain content of Object Storage is copied and saved in Live Station.
- Even if the curtain content saved in Object Storage is edited, the previously registered curtain content is not updated. To use the edited curtain content, please register it again.
2. Perform live curtain
During real-time live broadcasting, you can perform live curtain using previously registered curtain content. Specify alternate content ID and set the alternative time. If the target alternative time is longer than the playback time of the curtain content, the registered content is played repeatedly. 3. End live curtain
In case of exceeding the alternative time, the live curtain will automatically terminate, and before the alternative time is over, it can be force-closed via API. Go to the Live Station API guide in the API guide, and click on Live curtain management API to check the API for closing live curtain.

VOD2LIVE
VOD2LIVE is a feature that allows you to utilize recording files as a streaming source for live broadcasts. Based on the current time, you can stream live broadcasts within 14 days and stream multiple files of up to 24 hours. You can use this feature to configure live broadcasts with preset videos.
Using VOD2LIVE
Proceed with the following steps to use the VOD2LIVE feature.
1. Create VOD2LIVE channel
2. Register schedule for VOD2LIVE scheduled streaming
3. Remove schedule for VOD2LIVE scheduled streaming
1. Create VOD2LIVE channel
To use the VOD2LIVE feature, you need to create a VOD2LIVE channel. The channel creation options are the same as those for a normal channel. Go to the Live Station API guide in the API guide, and click on VOD channel management API to check the API for creating VOD2LIVE channels.

2. Register schedules for VOD2LIVE scheduled streaming
You can register a schedule for VOD2LIVE scheduled streaming. To schedule a scheduled streaming, you need to input the scheduled streaming time and the VOD file to be played in the live broadcast. You can select multiple VOD files and register up to 50 files. You cannot enter a time previous to the scheduled streaming time for the scheduled streaming time, and the minimum/maximum time for input is as follows:
- Minimum input time: current request time + time after 10 minutes
- Maximum input time: current request time + 14 days

3. Remove schedules for VOD2LIVE scheduled streaming
You can remove registered schedules for scheduled streaming deleted using the schedule ID. Go to the Live Station API guide in the API guide, and click on VOD schedule management API to check the API for removing schedules for VOD2LIVE scheduled streaming.
