Create and manage restream channel

In Create and manage restream channel, we describe how to create restream channel, view details about restream channels, and manage restream channels.

Create restream channels

By creating a restream channel, you can stream live broadcasting on various platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and AfreecaTV simultaneously.
To create a restream channel:

1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to > Services > Media > Live Station.
2. Click the Re-stream Management menu.
3. Click [Create Restream Channel].
4. Set the default settings for the restream channel you want to create.
   • Select product: Select a restream product based on the maximum number of platforms available for restreaming simultaneously.
     • Standard: You can stream a live broadcast on up to 3 platforms.
     • Professional: You can stream a live broadcast on up to 5 platforms.
   • Channel type: Select a channel type based on the service environment to be applied.
     • Depending on the service environment to be applied, you can set the channel type to REAL/DEV/STAGE.
     • The channel type is a simple identifier, and there is no difference in channel functionality.
   • After entering the restream platform information, click [Add].
     • Restream platform: Select restream platforms in the dropdown menu.
     • Streaming information: Enter the URL with the RTMP protocol.
     • Stream key: Enter the stream key.
     • Use authentication information: If RTMP authentication is required on the restream platform, click to select and enter the authentication information (ID, password).
5. After checking the setting information, click [Create restream channel].
6. Check the details in the live creation popup, and then click [OK].

View restream channel details

To view the details of the restream channel you created:

1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to > Services > Media > Live Station.
2. Click the Re-stream Management menu.
3. Click the channel name whose details you want to view.
   • Channel name: The name of the restream channel.
   • Channel status: The status of the channel.
     • Creating: The status of the channel being created.
     • Ready: The ready status without any video source input, which is displayed after the channel is created, or after the broadcasting has ended.
     • Streaming: The status of the broadcasting streaming successfully in the created channel.
   • Number of restream platforms: The number of platforms that are available for restreaming.
   • Streaming information: RTMP that must be entered in the encoder and streamed for broadcasting.
   • Channel type: The type of the channel.
   • Channel ID: The ID of the channel.
   • Channel usage hour: Time spent streaming broadcasting through the channel.
   • Recent streaming start time: The date and time when the streaming started.
   • Event notification settings: Whether to set event notifications.

Edit restream platform information

To edit the restream platform information:

1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to > Services > Media > Live Station.
2. Click the Re-stream Management menu.
3. Click on the channel name to edit the restream platform information.
4. In the [Restream platform] tab, click to select the restream platform you want to edit, and then click [Edit target stream].
5. When the restream RTMP stream edit popup appears, click [Edit] for the item you wish to edit and enter the edited content.
6. Click [Edit again] for the edited item.
   • If [Edit again] is displayed, [Edit] is disabled and you cannot complete the edit.
7. Click [Edit].
   • The edits are applied.

Return restream channels

To return a restream channel:

1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to > Services > Media > Live Station.
2. Click the Re-stream Management menu.
3. In the restream channel list, click to select the channel you wish to return, and then click [Return channel].
   • You can also click [Return channel] on the channel details interface after clicking the channel name.
4. Check the details in the channel return popup, and then click [Delete].
   • The channel is returned and removed from the restream channel list.
