  3. Click [Go to MEDIA ANALYTICS] at the top of the interface.
  4. Log in with the admin account ID and password.
  5. Click the Debug menu, then select and click the sub-menu to check.
    • Error rate: The percentage of errors occurring from the number of clicks of all viewers.
    • Start failure: The number of playback failures on the player.
    • Rebuffering rate: The total play time when rebuffering occurs due to insufficient video data.
    • Buffering time: The average run time taken for playback to temporarily pause and resume.

Error rate

You can check the percentage of errors among the total number of playbacks caused by viewers clicking the playback button.

The following are detailed collection criteria for indicators:

Item Description
Collection target The rate that errors occur among the total number of playbacks (unit: %)
Calculation formula (Error count) ÷ (Total number of playbacks) × 100
Session log error

The following are the features available for viewing indicators:

  • Filter: You can selectively view desired data using the filters at the top of the interface.
    • Custom: You can save the configured filter values as a custom filter. With the filter set as you desire, click Filter > [Save current filter selection value], enter a name, and save it.
    • Initialize: To clear all filters, click Initialize filters.
  • Graph expansion: Drag over a certain component of the graph to zoom in. To return the graph to its initial state, click [Initialize].
  • Save collected data: You can view individually collected data based on the criteria in the list at the bottom of the interface. To save the data locally, click i-vpe_download.

Start failure

You can check the number of playback failures on the player.

The following are detailed collection criteria for indicators:

Item Description
Collection target Number of video playback failures on the player.
Measurement criteria Includes all failure counts where the player could not start for various reasons.
Session log player_start

The following are the features available for viewing indicators:

  • Filter: You can selectively view desired data using the filters at the top of the interface.
    • Custom: You can save the configured filter values as a custom filter. With the filter set as you desire, click Filter > [Save current filter selection value], enter a name, and save it.

Rebuffering rate

You can check the rebuffering rate due to insufficient video data among the total playback time.

The following are detailed collection criteria for indicators:

Item Description
Collection target The rate of buffering occurring due to insufficient video data during video playback (unit: %).
Measurement criteria Includes only purely rebuffering events not buffering caused by any action during playback.
How to use
  • Use rebuffering as an important indicator to evaluate user experience and performance.
  • A high rebuffering rate indicates that users may not have smoothly viewed the video due to the long buffering time. To improve user experience, identifying the causes of rebuffering and improving them are necessary.
Session log rebuffering

The following are the features available for viewing indicators:

  • Filter: You can selectively view desired data using the filters at the top of the interface.
    • Custom: You can save the configured filter values as a custom filter. With the filter set as you desire, click Filter > [Save current filter selection value], enter a name, and save it.

Buffering time

You can check the average run time taken for playback to temporarily pause and resume.

The following are detailed collection criteria for indicators:

Item Description
Collection target The average run time taken for playback to temporarily pause and resume (unit: second(s)).
Measurement criteria Includes total buffering duration including rebuffering.
Session log startup + rebuffering + seeking
