Once you've reviewed the Media Connect Center specifications, requirements, quickstart, and glossary, you're ready to start using the service. Your first step is subscribing to Media Connect Center. You can subscribe to Media Connect Center and manage its subscription from the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
After subscribing, check whether you can access the Media Connect Center website normally on your PC's web browser.
This guide includes the following content:

  • From the NAVER Cloud Platform console
    • Subscribe to Media Connect Center.
      • Change admin account ID.
      • Change admin account password.
      • Add buckets to be managed.
      • Stop managing buckets you currently manage.
    • Unsubscribe from Media Connect Center.
  • On your PC
    • Check web access.

Subscribe to the service

To subscribe to Media Connect Center from the NAVER Cloud Platform console:

  1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. In the top right of the console, click Region and Platform.
  3. Select your region and platform, and then click [Apply].
  4. In the top left of the console, click i_menu.
  5. Navigate to Services > Media > Media Connect Center.
  6. Click the My Products menu.
  7. Click [Subscribe].

  8. When the product subscription interface appears, follow the steps in order:

Click [Subscribe] from Services > Media > Media Connect Center on the NAVER Cloud Platform portal to go directly to the interface in Step 4.

1. Enter Media Connect Center information

To enter the basic information of Media Connect Center you want to subscribe to:

  1. When the Enter Media Connect Center information interface appears, enter the name of the company whose services you want to use.

    • Company ID: Enter an ID for the access URL using lowercase letters and numbers. It must be 3–63 characters long. Click [Check duplicate].
    • Default language: Select the default language for the Media Connect Center web interface from Korean, English, and Japanese.
  2. Click [Enter company information].

2. Enter admin information

To enter Media Connect Center's admin information:

  1. When the Enter admin information interface appears, enter the manager who will manage Media Connect Center.

    • Main admin ID: Enter the email address used to log in to Media Connect Center (for receiving password setup emails).
  2. Click [Set storage].

3. Set storage

To set a storage to manage from Media Connect Center:

  1. When the Set storage interface appears, set the storage you want to manage.

    • [Select bucket]: Click to select an Object Storage bucket as the storage you want to manage.
    • [Set up later]: Click to uncheck a selected bucket and set the storage after subscription.
  2. Click [Complete subscription].
Caution
  • Additional charges apply when you subscribe to Object Storage. For more information about Object Storage and its pricing plans, see [Services > Storage > Object Storage](https://www.ncloud.com/product/storage/objectStorage){target="_blank"} on the NAVER Cloud Platform portal.
  • Even if you do not set up storage in Step 3, you can configure it later in the Media Connect Center web interface. For more information about how to set it, see Bucket folder.

4. Subscription completed

To check Media Connect Center subscription information and set up your account password used to log in to Media Connect Center:

  1. When the Subscription completed interface appears, click [OK].

  2. When the My Products interface appears, check the required information.

    • [Product subscribed]: Click to unsubscribe from the service.
    • [Go to Media Connect Center]: Click to access the company-dedicated Media Connect Center URL.
    • [Learn more]: Go to the service overview page on the portal.
    • [Refresh]: Reload the current page.
    • Subscription information: Check the subscription information.
      • Creation date and time: The date and time when you subscribed to the service.
      • Service URL: The company-dedicated Media Connect Center access URL.
      • Main admin account: The company-dedicated Media Connect Center account ID (email address).
        • [Reset password]: Click to change the main admin account's password.
        • Change admin account: Click to change the main admin account's ID.
      • Number of users: The number of users subscribing to the service.
      • Bucket in use: The information about the storage managed in Media Connect Center.
        • [Add bucket]: Click to add an Object Storage bucket to manage.
        • [Unmanage]: Click to unmanage an Object Storage bucket.
        • Bucket name: Click to go to the Bucket information interface in Storage > Object Storage > Bucket Management.
      • Usage: Capacity used in the service.
      • Pricing plan: The name and term of the pricing plan you are subscribed to.
  3. Check the authentication email sent to the email address registered.
  4. Click [Set password] to set the account password used to log in to Media Connect Center via your email.

  5. When the Set password appears, set your password and click [OK].
  • New password: Must be 8-20 characters long. They must contain English letters and numbers. Cannot have 3 or more consecutive or repeated letters or numbers.
  • Check new password: Enter the new password again.

Unsubscribe from the service

You can unsubscribe from Media Connect Center from the NAVER Cloud Platform console. You can unsubscribe from the service at any time. Take note of the billing unit when unsubscribing from the service. To cancel your service subscription:

  1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. In the top right of the console, click Region and Platform.
  3. Select your region and platform, and then click [Apply].
  4. In the top left of the console, click i_menu.
  5. Navigate to Services > Media > Media Connect Center.
  6. Click the My Products menu.
  7. Click [Product subscribed], and click Unsubscribe from the product.
  8. When the Unsubscribe from the product popup appears, click [Unsubscribe].

Check PC web access

To check whether you can properly access Media Connect Center on the web after subscribing through the NAVER Cloud Platform console:

  1. Enter the company-dedicated Media Connect Center access URL in the web browser and access it.
    • For the admin: From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click Services > Media > Media Connect Center and then click [Go to Media Connect Center] in My Products to check the company-dedicated Media Connect Center URL.
    • For the user: Check the company-dedicated Media Connect Center URL from the sign-up invitation email sent by the admin.
  2. Select the default language to use on the web.
  3. Enter the account's email address and password and then click [Log in].

Note
  • For more information about the Media Connect Center web, see Content pool.
  • For security, to safely log out of the service, click your user account in the top right corner of the interface and then click Log out.
Caution

If an account is temporarily suspended by the admin, a notification appears when the user tries to log in, indicating that the account is suspended and access to Media Connect Center is not allowed. Contact the manager if you need access.
