Click **[Check password]**. ## Access the server You can access the created server (Linux or Windows) after carrying out all preparations for server access. For more information on accessing the Linux server, see the [Linux server access guide](/docs/en/server-access-vpc#Linux%EC%84%9C%EB%B2%84%EC%A0%91%EC%86%8D), and for more information on accessing the Windows server, see [Windows server access guide](/docs/en/server-access-vpc#Windows%EC%84%9C%EB%B2%84%EC%A0%91%EC%86%8D). ## Create NAS volume To use NAS, a NAS volume must be created first to save the data shared among servers. To create a NAS volume in the NAVER Cloud Platform console: 1. In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to **Menu** > **All Services > Storage > NAS**. 2. Click the **volume** menu. 3. Click **[Create NAS volume]**. ![nas-start-vpc_add_ko](https://cdn.document360.io/6998976f-9d95-4df8-b847-d375892b92c2/Images/Documentation/nas-start-vpc_add_en.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-27T17%3A20%3A23Z&se=2026-10-27T18%3A20%3A23Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=jv%2Foy118VDakGtpRzw%2F8LVdm8xPY3mbKwekKfhCmFto%3D) 4. When the NAS volume creation interface appears, proceed with the following steps in order: - [1. Create volume](/docs/en/nas-start-vpc#1%EB%B3%BC%EB%A5%A8%EC%83%9D%EC%84%B1) - [2. Set access control](/docs/en/nas-start-vpc#2%EC%A0%91%EA%B7%BC%EC%A0%9C%EC%96%B4%EC%84%A4%EC%A0%95) - [3. Review final settings](/docs/en/nas-start-vpc#3%EC%B5%9C%EC%A2%85%ED%99%95%EC%9D%B8) ### 1. Create volume 1. Select the zone where the NAS volume will be created. 2. Enter the NAS volume name and volume capacity. - You can enter 3 to 20 characters as the volume name using alphabets, numbers, or a combination of alphabets and numbers. - A customer identification number starting with "n" is automatically generated before the entered volume name to identify customers - The default volume capacity ranges from 500 GB to 20,000 GB. Additions can be made in units of 100 GB. 3. Select a protocol to apply to the NAS volume. - When **NFS** is selected, it can be mounted on Linux servers such as CentOS and Ubuntu - When **CIFS** is selected, it can be mounted on Windows servers 4. Select the volume encryption application status. Note The volume encryption function of the NAS can encrypt all data that is saved using software-based encryption technology at the volume level. - Unique encryption key: internally managed by the storage system (AES-256 algorithm is applied to each volume) - Encryption module (CryptoMod): compliant with the FIPS-140-2 level 1 - Volume encryption is applied to each volume and can only be set when the volume is first created. 5. Select the volume return protection status. 6. Click **[Next]**. ### 2. Set access control The setting interface is displayed differently depending on the protocol selected while creating the volume. Complete settings according to the selected protocol, then click **[Next]**. - [When the NFS protocol is selected](/docs/en/nas-start-vpc#NFS%ED%94%84%EB%A1%9C%ED%86%A0%EC%BD%9C%EC%84%A0%ED%83%9D%EC%8B%9C) - [When the CIFS protocol is selected](/docs/en/nas-start-vpc#CIFS%ED%94%84%EB%A1%9C%ED%86%A0%EC%BD%9C%EC%84%A0%ED%83%9D%EC%8B%9C) #### When the NFS protocol is selected The NFS access control setting interface is displayed.
