    Available in VPC

Using and managing snapshots describes how to create and manage snapshots in the NAS volume.

The snapshot feature from NAS storage is a feature that can return the data status in NAS volume to a specific time or restore the data. The edited details of the data at an assigned time from the console can be saved, and files that are lost or edited unexpectedly can be solved.
Creating a snapshot can be done from the console via periodic setting or immediate setting, and NAS volume can be recovered from the saved data in the snapshot. Creating a snapshot and recovery is usually complete within few seconds.
To access the Snapshot menu, connect to NAVER Cloud Platform portal and click [Console] > Services > Storage > NAS > Snapshot in order.

    Snapshot Screen

The snapshot result page is laid out as follows.

    Check Snapshot List

Take the following steps to view information on each snapshot created for each NAS volume in the list of NAS volumes that created snapshots.

    Note
    • The list can be checked if there are more than 1 NAS volume that created snapshots. If there is no NAS volume that created a snapshot, then the list isn't displayed in the snapshot page. For more details about snapshot creation, see Snapshot settings.
    • Up to seven automatically created snapshots are stored. When there are more than 7 snapshots, the oldest snapshot is deleted. The snapshots generated by Create snapshot immediately feature are stored without limitations as long as the snapshot capacity allows.
    1. Click the Services > Storage > NAS menus in order in the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click the Snapshot menu.
    3. View the summarized information in the NAS volume list that created snapshots or click a NAS volume to view the details.

      • ZONE: the zone where the created NAS volume is located
      • Requested volume capacity: NAS volume capacity that was requested when creating the volume.
      • Capacity assigned to snapshot: capacity assigned to the snapshot from the requested capacity
      • Automatic snapshot setting cycle: automatic snapshot creation cycle set when setting the snapshot
      • Recover: recovers the NAS volume using the data of the snapshot
