There are several terms you must understand to use the Ncloud Storage service. The glossary and its description are as follows:
Object
A space in storage that is allocated and holds a value or is referenced by an identifier (such as a variable, data structure, function, or method).
Metadata
Structured data that performs the role of describing other data. It is used to efficiently search and utilize information among vast amounts of data, and content is assigned according to certain rules.
Bucket
A storage space for data. It is the top level directory grouping related objects.
Application Programing Interface (API)
A collection of various interfaces that allow users to write application programs using operations such as system, application, and library usage.
API authentication key
An API authentication tool issued to each user as a pair of an Access Key and Secret Key, allowing only authorized users to call the API in order to securely control the various features of services provided by NAVER Cloud Platform.
Storage class
A feature that helps to reduce costs and supports strategic operation by categorize between frequently accessed objects and backup data storage classes based on object accessibility.
Multipart-upload
A useful feature for quick and reliable process of large files by dividing them into small pieces (parts) during upload.
