    Article Summary

    Available in VPC

In Neurocloud of NAVER Cloud Platform, you can easily and conveniently create and manage Neurocloud. Although you can learn how to use Neurocloud in Getting started with Neurocloud or Using Neurocloud, it is recommended that you first take a look at the Neurocloud use scenario. Reading through the use scenario before you learn how to use Neurocloud can enable you to use it more efficiently. The following is the sequence of using Neurocloud. Read on to see the descriptions of each step.

    1. Setting permissions
    2. Requesting Neurocloud
    3. Confirming specifications, performing due diligence, and signing supply contract
    4. Installing equipment
    5. Configuring physical network
    6. Configuring logical network
    7. Setting organization

    1. Usage permission settings

In situations where Neurocloud needs to be managed and shared by multiple users, you can set different permissions for different users. Permissions for each user can be configured as administrator and user permissions through Sub Account of NAVER Cloud Platform, and roles can be defined for each permission. User permission is not a required setting, so you can assign or cancel the permissions anytime as needed while using Neurocloud.

    Note

Sub Account is a service provided free of charge upon subscription request. To see the introduction to Sub Account and its pricing plans, go to Service > Management & Governance > Sub Account in NAVER Cloud Platform's portal.

You can refer to the following user guide:

    2. Requesting Neurocloud

Request Neurocloud in NAVER Cloud Platform's console. In this step, you enter information needed to create Neurocloud. Once request is submitted, the person in charge from NAVER Cloud Platform will contact you separately. You can refer to the following user guide:

    3. Confirming specifications, performing due diligence, and signing supply contract

Consult with the person in charge from NAVER Cloud Platform to confirm the specifications and perform due diligence on the installation site. Once the supply date and the installation site are confirmed, sign the supply contract.

    4. Installing equipment

Once the supply contract is signed, the Neurocloud equipment should now be installed in the installation site. An expert engineer from NAVER Cloud Platform carries out the installation, and the installation period may differ depending on the data center environment and the equipment supplier's schedule.

    5. Configuring physical network

In this step, a physical network is installed between the topmost switch of Neurocloud and the backbone switch of the client's on-premise network. Neurocloud network and on-premise network are configured in a non-redundant way where they can be connected only through the physical network installed in this step. The client can set up a firewall in the on-premise network through a separate request. For external communication infrastructure, such as the internet, the client's network is used.

    6. Configuring logical network

In this step, you configure a logical routing between the Neurocloud network and the on-premise network. The Neurocloud network is connected to the on-premise network only through the on-premise gateway. To configure a logical network, configure Neurocloud VPC and subnet and the on-premise network and create an on-premise gateway and a routing table.

The following are the use guides you can refer to on how to configure a logical network in Neurocloud.

    7. Setting organization

If you are operating service through multiple accounts, you can use Organization on NAVER Cloud Platform to process payments and manage expenses from all accounts in one place. You can refer to the following user guide:

    Note

Once you have built and set up the Neurocloud infrastructure, you need to perform availability verification and performance testing on Neurocloud. These include a switch redundancy test between Neurocloud and the on-premise network, a redundancy test on dedicated cables of the Neurocloud management network, a unit function test, and a combined test. Test items and manager may differ depending on the client's circumstances. Once you complete the verifications and tests, you can start operating Neurocloud.
