Create and manage Quota Policy describes how to create a Quota Policy and manage the created Quota Policy.
The services that you can control through Organization are still limited. However, we will provide features to manage the usage limits for all services soon.
Create Quota Policy
A Quota Policy prevents expense/security risks from unnecessary resource creation by creating a Quota Policy and setting resources and limits available to each account group.
- Only a master account is allowed to create/manage the Quota Policy.
- Default usage limit of each account is applied to the usage limit of services not defined in the Quota Policy. You can configure and easily manage the Quota Policy for services that require control.
- When a Quota Policy is applied to a master account, the Quota Policy will be applied to all member accounts in the organization.
- When a Quota Policy is applied to an account group, the Quota Policy will be applied to all account groups and member accounts under that account group.
- When a Quota Policy is applied to a member account, the Quota Policy is applied only to that member account.
To create a Quota Policy, follow these steps:
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click Services > Management & Governance > Organization in order.
- Click Quota Policy.
- Click [Create new policy].
- In the create new policy page, enter the name and description of a Quota Policy to be created.
- Select the Region/category/resource to set usage limits from the Set policy item, enter the usage limits, and then click the [Add] button.
- To delete the added setting, click
.
- If you need detailed resource settings, click the [View more] button and set the usage limit of detailed resources.
- You need to click the [Add] button to add to the Quota Policy.
- To delete the added setting, click
.
- The maximum input usage for each resource/detailed resource is limited.
- If you enter the usage limit as 0, you cannot create the resource.
- <example> Server (resource): 30, GPU Server (detailed resource): if set to 0
You can create up to 30 Servers for accounts in the account group that have the Quota Policy applied, but not GPU Servers.
- <example> Server (resource): 30, GPU Server (detailed resource): if set to 0
- If the parent resource's usage limit is 0, you cannot create the detailed resources even if you set the usage limit of the detailed resource.
- <example> Server (resource): 0, GPU Server (detailed resource): 5
Accounts in the account group with that Quota Policy applied cannot create servers, regardless of the detailed resource settings.
- <example> Server (resource): 0, GPU Server (detailed resource): 5
- To delete the added setting, click
- Click the [Next] button.
- Click and select the check box of the account group to which the Quota Policy is applied.
- You can create the Quota Policy even if you do not select an account group to be applied.
- You can select multiple account groups to apply the Quota Policy in bulk.
- Even if you apply the Quota Policy to the parent account group, it does not automatically apply to the sub account group. If you want to apply a new Quota Policy to all sub account groups under the selected account group, select all the account groups to apply.
- Click [Create policy].
- Check the details in the Change Quota Policy confirmation pop-up window, and then click the [Change] button.
- Check the details in the account limit completion popup window and then click the [OK] button.
