When you register an application on NAVER Cloud Platform console, an authentication key for the application is issued, which allows you to use the service API registered for the application with an authentication key. An API request URL is composed of a URL under naveropenapi.apigw.ntruss.com.
Request subscription
The following describes how to request a subscription to the service.
- Click the AI Service > Papago Translation menu on NAVER Cloud Platform console.
- Agree to the Terms of service when the APIs menu appears.
- See the list of applications available for registration.
Register Application
Once you register an application, a unique client ID and a client secret value are created per application. When calling API, send the client ID and client secret value in the HTTP header value.
The following describes how to register an application.
- Click the AI Service > Papago Translation > [Register Application] button on NAVER Cloud Platform console.
- Enter the Application name.
- Up to 40 characters can be entered for a name.
- The application name may be displayed on the screen depending on the service's characteristics, so using a concise name up to 10 characters is recommended.
- In Select Service area, click the checkbox of Papago Image Translation(Text), Papago Image Translation (Image).
- Click the [Register] button.
Check application information
You can view the list of registered applications in the AI Service > Papago Translation > APIs menu on NAVER Cloud Platform console. The information you can see on the application list is as follows:

Usage for today/current month | Real-time usage by service (for UTC+9) |
Set limits and notifications | Set the API call usage limit and notifications to be sent when a certain value (%) is exceeded. |
Registration Date | The date when the application was registered |
