You might run into the following problems when using Resource Manager. Find out causes and possible solutions.

Unable to check task history

I want to view task history for up to two years, but only the past three months are available.

Cause

In Resource Manager, you can view only resources that currently exist. Task history can be viewed for up to three months.

Solution

Cloud Activity Tracer provides a feature to back up task history to Object Storage. Backups are available from the time you configure Cloud Activity Tracer. As you can retain history beyond three months, consider using Cloud Activity Tracer.

Deleted tags still appear

Deleted tags appear in the tag search filter.

Cause

This occurs when tags are not deleted successfully. If the same tag is assigned to multiple resources, it must be deleted from all resources for it to be removed from the list.

Solution

After deleting a tag from all resources, it is removed from the search filter within 5 minutes.
The solution is as follows:

  1. In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click i_menu > Services > Management & Governance > Resource Manager > Resource.
  2. In the resource list, select the resources to change tags by clicking the checkbox, and click [Change tags].
    • You must select all resources that have the tag you want to delete.
  3. In the tag change window, click [Delete] for the tag you want to delete.
  4. Once the tag is deleted from all resources, it is removed from the search filter within 5 minutes.

Resource change notifications via external messenger

I want to detect resource changes and send notifications to an external messenger.

Cause

Sending notifications to external messengers is not supported.

Solution

In Resource Manager, use the Observer feature to receive SMS and email notifications.

Unable to delete resources

I returned all billable resources to stop paid services, but some resources remain in Resource Manager and cannot be deleted.

Cause

Some non-billable services may still appear in Resource Manager.

Solution

These resources are not subject to billing and cannot be deleted from Resource Manager. The following resources are not deleted in Resource Manager:

  • ACG: Not billable. The default Access Control Group (ACG) cannot be deleted.
  • Login Key: Not billable. You must have at least 1 server before you can access the delete menu.
