In Groups, you can create and manage resource groups. You can specify multiple resources into a single logical group to systematically manage various resources in NAVER Cloud Platform.

Group interface

The basic description of the Group menu for using Resource Manager is as follows:

Component Description
① Menu name Shows the current menu name and the number of groups created.
② Basic features Create groups, check Resource Manager details, and refresh page.
③ Post-creation features Change groups and Delete groups.
④ Search bar Search groups by entering or selecting an observer name.
⑤ List List of groups being viewed.

Create groups

You can create resource groups based on individual resources or tags.

  • Groups based on individual resources: You can select the resource you want to add to the group.
  • Groups based on tags: If you set a specific tag, the resource that obtains the tag is automatically added to the group. To create a group based on tags, tags must be added to the resources first. For more information, see Change tags.

To create a group:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Management & Governance > Resource Manager.
  2. Click the Group menu.
  3. Click the [Create group].
  4. Enter the Basic information on the Group creation interface.
    • Group name: The name of the resource group you set.
      • You can set up to 50 characters and certain special letters (-, _) are allowed.
    • Group description: Enter a description of the resource group.
  5. Add the resources to the group through the group settings.
    • Set groups based on resources: Click the [Open] in Set based on resources, select the resource to add to the group, and click [Add selected resources].
      • Enter the Resource name or select Product (service) and Region to search resources.
      • To cancel the resource addition, select the resource in the list of Selected resources and click the [Exclude added resources].
    • Set groups based on tags: Click the [Open] in Set based on tags, and select the tags you want to set to the tag condition in Tag.
      • The resource that obtains the tag is automatically added to the group.
      • If you add multiple tags, each condition operates using the OR operator.
  6. In the tag component, enter the tag Key:Value to classify groups.
  7. Click the [Add].
    • Click the [Preview] to view the resources and tag conditions that will be included in the group.
Note
  • You can apply the resource-based group settings and the tag-based group settings simultaneously, and the resources corresponding to each group's settings are all added.
  • If you change resource tags, the resources are automatically included in the group or excluded from the group depending on the tag condition of the group.

View groups

To view the information of the created group and the list of resources included in the group:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Management & Governance > Resource Manager.
  2. Click the Group menu.
  3. Click the name of the target group.
  4. When the View groups popup window appears, check the group information or check the resources included in the group in Resource list.

    • Name: Name of the group specified when creating the group.
    • Description: Description entered when the group was created.
    • Creation date and time: Date and time when the group was created.
    • Date of change: Date and time when group settings were last changed.
    • Tag: Assign tag keys/values to easily classify SSO users.
      • View, create, edit, and delete all tags through [Tag management].
      • Only 1 tag value can be assigned to 1 tag key.
    • Tag condition: Tag condition to automatically add resources to the group.
    • Resource list: The list of resources included in the group.
      • Enter the Resource name or select Product (service) and Region where resources belong to search resources.
  5. Click [OK].

Change groups

To change settings of the created group:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Management & Governance > Resource Manager.
  2. Click the Group menu.
  3. Click the check box of the group whose information you want to change.
  4. Click [Change groups].
  5. Edit Description of the group or change its settings, and click the [Apply].
    • For more information about each setting item, see Create groups.
    • Click the [Preview] to view the resources and tag conditions that will be included in the group after editing.
  6. Click the [Apply].

Delete groups

To delete a created group:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Management & Governance > Resource Manager.
  2. Click the Group menu.
  3. Click the check box of the group you want to delete.
  4. Click [Delete group].
  5. Once the Group delete popup window appears, click [Yes].
