    You must become familiar with a few terms to use the Secure Zone. The glossary and its description are as follows.

    Address Group

    Instance group that allows you to group your owned instances together for use in policies

    Default Deny

    Block all connection attempts that are not set in the policy

    Secure Zone Firewall

    A feature through which customers can set firewall policies that allow access control to the instances created in Secure Zone

    Network Interface (NI)

    Physical medium or protocol created for communications between hardware and software

    Log

    Traffic logs of attempts to access the Secure Zone are recorded according to the Secure Zone firewall policy

    Firewall

    In the field of computer networks, this is software, or hardware with such software, that prevents security issues like information leakage and system destruction in advance by blocking the illegal intrusion of hackers or crackers. Network firewalls generally located at the top of the network structure, primarily protect internal networks by controlling and regulating (allow or deny) attempts to access from external networks like the Internet.

    Secure Sockets Layer Virtual Private Network (SSL VPN)

    A NAVER Cloud Platform service that provides a virtual private SSL network that enables secure access to customer sites anytime, anywhere

    Secure Zone

    A NAVER Cloud Platform service that provides infrastructure and network configuration for responding to related laws such as the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, Etc.

    Internet Protocol Security Virtual Private Network (IPsec VPN)

    A NAVER Cloud Platform service that provides a network that connects the external customer network and the network in NAVER Cloud Platform through an encrypted tunneling communication

    Access Control Group (ACG)

    A NAVER Cloud Platform service that manages network access to the server using filters based on IP address and port number

    Policy

    A security policy that allows or blocks communications for a specific protocol and port between the defined source IP and destination IP

    Cloud Log Analytics

    A NAVER Cloud Platform service that saves various logs generated from numerous services of NAVER Cloud Platform in one place, enabling easy analysis

    Traffic

    Unit of transfer of data cut down for them to be transferred easily through networks

    Private Subnet

    Service that provides an independent virtual network environment that allows internal communications between servers
