    4. Rebooting source server and checking status

Reboot the original server and check if the status of the original server changes to Running.

    Create My server image

You can create an image of the current status for a server you're using. Server information including OS, software, storage configuration is saved to the image.

    Caution

Created My server images are saved in a storage, and the storage fee is charged for the sum of the default storage capacity and added storage capacity of the server selected to create the image.

    Note
    • You can only create the server image while the server is Stopped or Running. Check the original server before you create the server image. For more information about how to check the original server, see Check the original server (Linux).
    • The larger the capacity of the additional disks and the more data they have, the longer it takes to create the server image. To shorten the time it takes to create a server image, remove additional disks before creating the image.

    • Once the replication is completed, a confirmation email is sent to your log in account.
    • If you create a server in VPC with the image of the server where Anti-Virus is installed, Agent is automatically installed on the created server and is subject to billing.

    Replicate Windows server image

Windows server images can be replicated to VPC servers after running the anti-virus status confirmation script. To replicate a Windows Server image to a VPC server after running the anti-virus status confirmation script, follow these steps:

    1. Access the Windows server to check the installed anti-virus solution.

    2. If the anti-virus solution is either ApexOne or OfficeScan, delete the anti-virus from the Control Panel and delete related folders.

      • ApexOne
        • Program name: Trend Micro Apex One Security Agent
        • Folder address: Trend Micro\Security Agent in C:\Program File (x86)
      • OfficeScan
        • Program name: Trend Micro officescan Security Agent
        • Folder address: Trend Micro\Security Agent in C:\Program Files (x86)
      • For anti-virus solutions other than ApexOne and OfficeScan, you can create a My server image without deleting them from the server.
    3. Run Windows PowerShell as administrator.

    4. Enter the following command and download the anti-virus status confirmation script execution tool.

      • The ncp_vac_chk.exe file is downloaded to the desktop.
      cd c:\users\Administrator\Desktop
      Invoke-WebRequest http://init.ncloud.com/vpcporting/real/ncp_vac_chk.exe -outfile ncp_vac_chk.exe

    5. Run the script execution tool as administrator and check the results.

      • If the anti-virus status confirmation is performed properly, 2 files (notifyFreeAntiVirusRemoved, result) are created on the desktop. If it is performed improperly, only the result file is created.
      • If the notifyFreeAntiVirusRemoved file is not created or if the result of the file is not "OK," check the anti-virus removal status again and then run the script execution tool again.
    6. Create My server image with the server where the script is performed.

    7. Replicate the created server image to the VPC environment.

Replicate older version of server image

If the VPC replication feature is not supported because the hypervisor version of the Classic environment is lower than that of VPC environment, you can create a new server in the Classic environment using the server image you want to replicate, and then create a My server image with the new server to replicate it to the VPC. To replicate the older version of My server image to the VPC environment, follow these steps:

    1. Create a new server in the Classic environment with the older version of the My server image.
