    This section explains how to check the usage limits and current usage of the NAVER Cloud Platform services available on your account, and how to request an increase if necessary.

    Note
    • Only business members can request a limit increase. Individual members can only view usage limits and usage.
    • Only the master account can request a limit increase when using the Organization service.

    Quota Status screen

    The Quota Status screen is laid out as follows.

    • Region: the regions where the services are provided
    • Category: the name of service category
    • Service: the services provided by NAVER Cloud Platform
    • Subservice: detailed breakdown of subservices
    • Default limit: the limit provided by default when signing up for NAVER Cloud Platform
    • Applied limit: the limit currently applied to the account due to the limit increase requests history, etc.
    • Immediate increase limit: limits that can be increased immediately without review by a service representative.
    • Usage: current usage of the service and usage rate against limits
    • [Request limit increase] button: click to request Service limit increase. This button is disabled for the services without limits

    Viewing detailed resource limits

    If a server or Block Storage service is offered on a detailed resource basis, you can expand the list to see the detailed limits. To check the limit and current usage for each detailed resource, follow these steps:

    1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. In the Region menu, click the environment you are using.
    3. In the Platform menu, click the environment you are using.
    4. Click Services > Management & Governance > Service Quota in order.
    5. Click Quota Status.
    6. In the search area, filter the accounts and services you want to view.
      • You can select the region, service category, use status, or directly look up the service name.
      • If it's the Organization master account, click i_servicequota_account next to Account to select a member account to view.
    7. Click a specific item in the list of service limits for more information.
      • Detailed Service Status
        • Resource type: types of resources in a service
        • Resource subtypes: detailed breakdown of resource subtypes
        • Generation classification: number of generations of the server. Only visible on servers
        • Default limit: the limit provided by default when signing up for NAVER Cloud Platform
        • Applied limit: the limit currently applied to the account due to the limit increase requests history, etc.
        • Immediate increase limit: limits that can be increased immediately without review by a service representative. Only services that can be immediately increased the limit are shown
        • Usage: current usage of the service and usage rate against limits

    Requesting a limit increase

    To request a usage limit increase for a service, follow these steps:

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and the Platform menu on the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click Services > Management & Governance > Service Quota in order.
    3. Click Quota Status.
    4. In the search area, filter the accounts and services you want.
      • You can select the region, service category, use status, or directly look up the service name.
      • If it's the Organization master account, click i_servicequota_account next to Account to select a member account to increase the limit for.
    5. Click [Request a limit increase] for your desired service in the list of service limits.
    6. See the guide for the service you are requesting the increase for.

    Server

    To request a usage limit increase, follow these steps:

    1. On the Request a limit increase page, confirm the account and service information included in the request, then select the type of request.

      • When the Organization master account requests a limit increase for a member account, the Requesting account displays the master account and the Applied account displays the member account to which the limit will be applied.
      • Choose between Service limit and Limit by resource type for the request type.
        Service limit: apply for an increase of quota for Server or Server (VPC) if the existing quota is insufficient (server specifications entered for quota increase requests are only used for review and do not impact the resource type-specific quotas.)
        Limit by resource type: apply for an increase of quota for specific server resources, such as BareMetal, CPU, or GPU, when these resource type-specific quota is insufficient

    2. In the settings at the bottom of the page, click [Add] and enter the limits for the request type.

      • To apply for different types of servers together, click [Add] again.
      • To delete a specific type of server from the request history, click the Resource limit information check box and then click [Delete].
      • If you selected Service limit
        • Generation classification: select the generation of the server
        • Resource type: select the type of server
        • Resource subtype: select a subtype if applicable for the resource type
        • Server specification: select the server specification and enter the required quantity
      • If you selected Limit by resource type
        • Generation classification: select the generation of the server to increase
        • Resource type: select the type of server
        • Resource subtype: select a subtype if applicable for the resource type
        • Default limit: view default limits for the selected server type
        • Applied limit: view the current applied limits for the selected server type
        • Immediate increase limit: view the available limit that can be immediately increased for the selected server type. The quantity is only visible if available
        • Usage: current usage and usage rate against limits of the selected server type
        • Requested limit: view the requested limit, which is automatically calculated when entering the server specs and required quantity
          • If the requested limit by resource is greater than the current service limit, a service limit increase will also be requested based on the maximum of the requested limit by resource.
        • Server specification: click [Add], select server specification, and enter the required quantity
          • To add servers with different specifications within the same type, click [Add] again.
    3. When you are done, click [Next].

      Note

      You can't request for the resources that are eligible for immediate increase and the resources that are not at the same time. Make a separate request based on eligibility of immediate increase.

    4. After checking the request limit quantity, provide a brief explanation of why you need to increase your limit in the Reason for request field.

    5. Click [OK].

      • Your limit increase request is registered and added to the Pending list of requests on the Quota Request page.
      • Requests that are eligible for immediate increase are directly changed to Approved, but requests that exceed the immediate increase limit require review by a service representative. Review can take several days and will be approved or rejected based on the result.
      • You can only submit 1 limit increase request by service. If you have a pending request on the eligible service, you can proceed with another request after the review is complete.

    Block Storage

    To request a usage limit increase for Block Storage, follow these steps:

    1. On the Request a limit increase page, confirm the account and service information included in the request, then select the type of request.
      • When the Organization master account requests a limit increase for a member account, the Requesting account displays the master account and the Applied account displays the member account to which the limit will be applied.
      • Choose between Service limit and Limit by resource type for the request type.
        Service limit: apply for an increase of Block Storage quota if the existing Block Storage quota is insufficient (quantity entered for quota increase requests is only used for review purposes and does not affect resource type-specific quotas.)
        Limit by resource type: apply for an increase of specific resource quota within Block Storage, such as additional Block Storage, when these quotas are insufficient

    2. In the settings at the bottom of the page, click [Add] and enter the limits for the request type.
      • To apply for different types of storages together, click [Add] again.
      • To delete a specific type of storage from the request history, click the Resource limit information check box and then click [Delete].
      • If you selected Service limit
        • Resource type: select the type of storage
        • Resource subtype: select a subtype if applicable for the resource type
        • Requested quantity: enter the amount of capacity needed in addition to the currently requested limit
      • If you selected Limit by resource type
        • Resource type: select the type of storage
        • Resource subtype: select a subtype if applicable for the resource type
        • Default limit: view default limits for the selected storage type
        • Applied limit: view the current applied limits for the selected storage type
        • Immediate increase limit: view the available limit that can be immediately increased for the selected storage type. Block Storage services are marked with a '-' as they don't support immediate increase
        • Usage: current usage and usage rate against limits of the selected storage type
        • Requested quantity: enter the desired limit capacity value in the field. Must be a number greater than the currently requested limit.
          • If the resource request limit is greater than the current service limit, a service limit increase will also be requested based on the highest of the requested limits by resource.
    3. When you are done, click [Next].
    4. After checking the request limit quantity, provide a brief explanation of why you need to increase your limit in the Reason for request field.
    5. Click [OK].
      • Your limit increase request is registered and added to the Pending list of requests on the Quota Request page.
      • Registered requests should go through review by a service representative. Review can take several days and will be approved or rejected based on the result.
      • You can only submit 1 limit increase request by service. If you have a pending request on the eligible service, you can proceed with another request after the review is complete.

    Other services

    To request a limit increase for services other than server and Block Storage, follow these steps:

    1. On the Request a limit increase page, confirm the account and service information included in the request.
      • If the Organization master account requests a limit increase for a member account, the requesting account appears to be the master account and the applying account displays as the member account.
    2. Enter the desired limit in the Requested limit field and click [Next].
      • Must enter the requested limit that is greater than the currently applied limit.
    3. After checking the request limit quantity, provide a brief explanation of why you need to increase your limit in the Reason for request field.
    4. Click [OK].
      • Your limit increase request is registered and added to the Pending list of requests on the Quota Request page.
      • Requests that are eligible for immediate increase are directly changed to Approved, but requests that exceed the immediate increase limit or not eligible for immediate increase require review by a service representative. Review can take several days and will be approved or rejected based on the result.
      • You can only submit 1 limit increase request by service. If you have a pending request on the eligible service, you can proceed with another request after the review is complete.
