    This page describes how to install and connect the SSL VPN agent and how to check the connection. Please read the following information before installing and connecting the SSL VPN agent.

    • For seamless use (installation and connection) of SSL VPN, check if the outbound traffic is allowed on port 443 in the SSL VPN connection path. You may not be able to install and use the agent properly if access is not allowed because of the security solutions (Firewall, NAC, etc.).
    • For more information about the SSL VPN connection path, see SSL VPN connection path.
    • SSL VPN requires network connection when logging in or installing the agent.
    • This service enables connection to all global region servers. Therefore, you can connect to the global region server after signing up for an SSL VPN in the Korea region.

    Install the SSL VPN agent

    To install the SSL VPN agent, complete the steps below:

    Caution

    Avoid installing the SSL VPN agent while another VPN connection is enabled, as conflicts may occur between connection environments.

    1. Download Agent

    Download the SSL VPN agent file depending on your operating system. For detailed instructions on how to download the agent, see Downloading SSL VPN.

    2. Install Agent

    The following describes how to install the agent.

    1. Unzip the file downloaded in 1. Download Agent and run the file.
    2. Click [Install] in the BIG-IP Edge Client Setup pop-up.
    3. Once the setup is complete, click [Finish].

    Connect the SSL VPN agent

    The following describes how to connect the SSL VPN agent.

    1. Run the agent installed in 2. Install Agent.
    2. Click [Change server] in the BIG-IP Edge Client pop-up.
    3. Enter the SSL VPN connection path and click [Next].
    4. Click [Connect] in the BIG-IP Edge Client pop-up.
      • Click [View details] to view the detailed information of the connection path.
    5. Enter the VPN login information in the login pop-up window and click [Log on].
    6. If the two-factor authentication method is set up, enter the OTP authentication number in the authentication number input window and click [Log on].
      • The OTP code will be sent via email/SMS.
      • Upon successful authentication, connection is completed.

    • Click [Show graph] to view the traffic usage.
    • Click [View details] to view the detailed information of the connection path.

    SSL VPN connection path

    The connection path for the SSL VPN is as follows:

    • Korea
      • sslvpn-kr-01.ncloud.com

    Check the SSL VPN agent connection

    The following describes how to check the SSL VPN agent connection.

    1. Run the console window.
      • Windows: Press the i-sslvpn_window_start key and [R] key at the same time, type in cmd in the window, and click [OK].
      • macOS: Run the terminal app.
    2. Enter the following command to check the IP information of the current user.
      • Windows: ipconfig
      • macOS: ifconfig
    3. If you are assigned an IP address in the IP pool assigned when creating the SSL VPN, you are connected successfully.
    Note

    If you have set the rules for the SSL VPN IP pool in ACG, you can enter commands such as ping and ssh to check the communication with the VM. For more information, see Set ACG.
