Virtual Private Gateway

Available in VPC
Virtual Private Gateway (VGW) is a point of contact that connects VPC and on-premise network via Cloud Connect or IPsec VPN. Features of Virtual Private Gateway are as follows.
- Inter-network communication is available via secure path, and hybrid cloud can be built.
- Duplexing communication line is possible, which allows you to use two IPsec VPN tunnels or a combination of IPsec VPN and Cloud Connect tunnels.

The basics of using Virtual Private Gateway are as follows.

View Virtual Private Gateway list
You can check the information of each Virtual Private Gateway from the list of Virtual Private Gateways that have been created and are in operation. The following describes how to view the information.
You can see the list if you have one or more Virtual Private Gateways in operation. If you don't have any Virtual Private Gateways that have been created and are in operation, then the list is not displayed in the page.
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's VPC environment, click the Services > Networking > VPC menus, in that order.
- Click the Virtual Private Gateway menu.
- When the list of created Virtual Private Gateways appears, view the summarized information or click a Virtual Private Gateway to check the details.
- Virtual Private Gateway name: name of the Virtual Private Gateway
- Status: status of the Virtual Private Gateway
- Under preparation: status in which the Virtual Private Gateway is being created with the information entered by the user
- Running: status in which the creation of the Virtual Private Gateway has been completed with the information entered by the user, and the Virtual Private Gateway is available for use
- Shutting down: status in which the Virtual Private Gateway created with the information entered by the user is being deleted
- Virtual Private Gateway ID: ID value of the Virtual Private Gateway
- VPC name: name of the VPC connected
- [Related routes] tab: list of route tables related to the Virtual Private Gateway
- Creation date and time: date when the Virtual Private Gateway was created
- Memo: This is the memo related to the Virtual Private Gateway, and it can be edited by clicking the [Edit] button.
Create
The following describes how to create a Virtual Private Gateway.
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's VPC environment, click the Services > Networking > VPC menus, in that order.
- Click the Virtual Private Gateway menu.
- Click the [Create Virtual Private Gateway] button.
- When the Create Virtual Private Gateway pop-up window appears, enter a name for the Virtual Private Gateway to create, and then select a VPC to apply.
- A Virtual Private Gateway name should be 3 to 30 characters in English letters, numbers, and hyphens (-).
- Click the [Create] button.
- Check the status of the Virtual Private Gateway that was created from the Virtual Private Gateway list in the Virtual Private Gateway page.
- Under preparation: status in which the Virtual Private Gateway is being created with the information entered by the user
- Running: status in which the creation of the Virtual Private Gateway has been completed with the information entered by the user, and the Virtual Private Gateway is available for use
- Go to the Route table menu, and set the network path for communication via Virtual Private Gateway. Please refer to Route table settings guide for more information.
Delete Virtual Private Gateway
You can delete a Virtual Private Gateway that has been created and is in operation. The following describes how to delete.
If you've connected it to IPsec VPN or Cloud Connect, then these instances must be finished first before deleting it.
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's VPC environment, click the Services > Networking > VPC menus, in that order.
- Click the Virtual Private Gateway menu.
- Click the Virtual Private Gateway to delete, and then click the [Delete Virtual Private Gateway] button.
- When the Delete Virtual Private Gateway pop-up window appears, click the [Delete] button.
- Check the status of the Virtual Private Gateway from the Virtual Private Gateway list in the Virtual Private Gateway page.
- Shutting down: status in which the Virtual Private Gateway is being deleted
