    Article Summary

    Available in VPC.

Virtual private gateway (VGW) is a point of contact located in a VPC connecting an on-premise network with a Cloud Connect or IPsec VPN.
Virtual private gateway group (VGW group) handles routing for secure communication in the Ncloud and on-premise sections, and it groups them to connect to the VGW.

The features of VGW and VGW group are as follows:

    • Inter-network communication is available via secure path, and hybrid cloud can be built.
    • Duplexing communication line is possible, which allows you to use 2 IPsec VPN tunnels or a combination of IPsec VPN and Cloud Connect tunnels.
    • 1 line can be shared with multiple VPCs. However, communication is unavailable if the CIDRs of each subnet and on-premise network that participate in the communication overlap.
    • Up to 3 VGW groups can be created per account, and up to 3 VGWs can be added per each VGW group, including VGWs from another account.
